PSW 505 No sound

Need Cheap Help
No sound out of PSW505. Hooked cd player into back of sub (suggested by Polk Tech Support) and only slight static heard when sub turned to max volume setting. Out of warranty 8 months (bought 05/04/2006) has not worked in 3 or 4 months. I saw other people helped without sending sub in hope someone can help me, work cut hours last year 20%. Back to full time now but catching up. Can I check volts or Ohms to try and determine anything.

Hi im also having problems with my 505 sub. its been working find for 4 month and then all of a sudden no sound what so ever comes out of the sub not even hum noise. The green light comes on when its connected to my reciever and when i try my signal tests from my onkyo menu i get no sound. I know its not the cable because the green light comes on as soon as i turn on my tv with my sub set to auto. I tried to hook up my sub to a cd player to see if its my reciever but i still get no sound. Im still under warranty with Polk but i would like to know what would cause my sub to just stop working so i can be more educated on the subject. I dont like making the same mistake twice, i need to know if its just bad luck or something i did. I listen to my sub at 50% volume and set my reciever to out put at +2 db for sub so i dont listen at extreme volumes. Thanks in advance!

Call the number at the top right of the page, and Polk will do their best to take care of ya. I've dealt with them on a few different occasions, and they always go out of their way to help! I have been dealing with Eric Wong (Polk Audio Customer Service/Technical Support). He has given me a few things to check to help narrow down the problem and parts are now on the way. The customer service here has been great. I was surprised after having to deal with Microsoft CS :mad: which was terrible. Glad customers still matter to Polk.

Breanna Diaz ( polkaudio Customer Service Representative-Technical Support) is sending me a new amp and subwoofer gasket. Im glad Polk has good Customer service. Im on my third 360 and each time my 360 red ringed Microsoft wanted me to pay 100 dollars to get it repaired, the dam system all ways red rings when your out of warranty, its almost like MS designs the systems to break after a certain amount of time.
