BLURAY Player

PS3 can do netflix now with a special disc but it, evidently, does not do it very well unless you have a very high speed connection....that will probably change...
I've never found the PS3s upscaling to be that bad....people act as though upscaling a DVD is some kind of Holy Grail....P(Oppo)....get over it! DVDs are DVDs you can only do so much with them....move on to blu-ray and don't worry about a few percent better here a few percent better there!
The fact of the matter is that to me a good progressive scan player LOOKS way more FILM-LIKE than a super SD upscaled version? Scale on yee knights who say nee!

I have to disagree here. I have a ps3, and I have an Oppo 981, and the 981 does a visibly better job at upscaling imho. I understand going with bd whenever possible, but I watch a lot of concert vids that aren't in BD and I'm damned happy I still have my Oppo to fall back on for SD.My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself. -
I have always thought the PS3 did a very good job of upscaling. I had an older Sony upconverting DVD player, and IMHO the PS3 blows it out of the water. While I admit it may not be the best upscaler out there, it does a damn fine job, IMHO.

That I could see, I have the PS3, the Oppo, and a newer Toshiba upconverter. I'd rate the PS3 about equal with the Toshiba. My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
