I think the Iggles were pre-mature in extending McNabb's contract

That was a horrendous performance. Dallas' defense made him look like a rank amateur. What the hell happened to Philly?

Minnesota is next. That should be an interesting game.

Friggin' Bengals didn't show up either. But all those who think Sanchez isn't any good, he played quite well tonight. The Jets have a good QB with lots of years ahead of him. They looked very good. They might make it to the AFC championship game.

I would have to agree Jstas, McNabb and the Eagles offense looked terrible. It looked as if they just rolled over. Dallas is coming on at the right time. If they can hold it together, the Vikes are in for a game. Should be good.

The Eagles just rolled over and looked like ****. I have to hand it to the Cowgirls, they look like they are really hitting their stride.

I agree about McNabb, he's the only big name quaterback since 1999 to not win a Super Bowl. How is it we always get stuck like this?

They didn't extend his contract. He is still only contract for next year so that's the worse case scenerio (another year of him). Reid is the one that they extended the contract.

McNabb has been overrated since day one. Every year it feels like people are making excuses for him and every year the guy chokes. It's pathetic.

Yes, they did. He didn't have a contract for '09-'10. They finalized his contract for two years back in June and they should have let him go and either worked on Kevin Kolb or found someone new. They did find someone new, Vick, but everybody hates the guy because of his dog thing. They'll cheer the other players in the NFL who are convicted of everything from vehicular manslaughter to domestic abuse but they really hate Vick because of what he did to those dogs. So the Eagles should go with a QB that can actually play. They should trade McNabb for a decent backup or two, give the starting job to Vick and release Kolb from his contract so he can go and be starter somewhere like Washington. Where he can shine. 'Cause God knows Jason Campbell needs to exit stage left and soon.

Not to get technical but he was under contract for the 09-10 season. He wanted a contract extension beyond that in Feb 2009. Instead of giving him an extension, they gave him a raise in June 2009. They restructured the last 2 years of his contract by giving him more money. They didn't have to do anything and he still would have been under contract for 09 and 10. He may not been happy but he was under contract.

Cowboys spanked the crap out of my eagles for several reasons, and i gotta say Mcnabb was not as big a part of it.... Yeah I know its always the qb to some folks, but im from a different school of thought (team guy).

Cowboys have built a team to matchup against their division nemesis. Great job they have done!!! Finally adopting a strategy that made Aikman look so good. Putting together a front line that dominates, can make average qbs look great.

Their front seven on both sides of the ball, beat the **** out of em, can't be a QB dancing around for life. Jackson going down a couple of weeks ago was HUUUUUGE!!!! and what is left of the eagle decimated LB core has to be one of the worst.

Game planning for these matchup by the cowboys was awesome. They attacked the beatup Oline of philly and pressed the WRs hard. Couln't get open in the 3 seconds they had. That will teach desean to keep his mouth shut. Love his skills, but falling in line with the other loudmouth wrs in the league who overvalue their position lol.

That happends everywhere John. In the late '70 through the mid '80s as a field engineer one of my steady regions was the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I wore my Eagles jersey (Wilbert Mongomery) after the championship game there in '80 and was blasted everywhere I went. So don't make it out like it just happens here.

BTW it was really thoughtful and considerate of Dallas fans to wear their jerseys rubbing the home teams nose in two dreadful showings in Dallas.

You missed the point again, Joe. I'm not like you. I'm a Cowboys fan, yes. But I don't "rub it in". Neither do I take it, that man and his family were "rubbing it in" either. I think they were happy their team won and they were showing team support while they were shopping on a Sunday afternoon at WAL*MART. They weren't bothering anybody at all. They were just deciding on what flavor of ICEE they were going to get. I'm glad the store security made the two guys leave. It was completely inappropriate and uncalled for.

He was at a store and two grown men who should know better acted like children and were shouting obscenities at a man and his family over jerseys. Jerseys! They weren't even current players. One was a Julius Jones jersey and the other was a Jay Novacek jersey. I think that kind of behavior, from anyone, is deplorable. They have no right to harass a man and his family over something as stupid as a football game.

So don't try and project your sentiments on to me. I commented on the behavior of two people who weren't even wearing Eagles paraphernalia. I didn't even say they were Eagles fans, you did. I think it sucks how they behaved and I think the attitude that the man and his family were "rubbing it in" just because the Eagles lost sucks too. Way to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he's a displaced Texan and doesn't give a rats **** about the Philadelphia Eagles? Does that mean he has to cowtow to Eagles fans, who if the Eagles had won wouldn't hesitate to jump at the chance to mock and insult the man for wearing a Cowboys jersey?

I think it sucks all around. I think it sucks the people who are Cowboys fans fear for their lives around here because so many Eagles fans act like thugs. I think it sucks that I can't go to a bar 4 hours after an Eagles game is over to watch a Giants game with my friends without getting called a douchebag or an **** because my friend is wearing his LT jersey. I think it sucks that Eagles fans tell everyone else that they are whining crybabies and they should suck it up yet they don't hear the same BS coming from other teams fans. It's a double standard and I think it sucks that so many Eagles fans can't see that. I think it sucks that because it's over a football game that people don't get a visit from johnny law over their behavior. But I do think it's funny that so many people are so vested in their fan status yet they don't have Philadelphia Eagles or even Dallas Cowboys on their paycheck. These teams are in it to make money and they do so off of your pocketbook. Eagles fans should lighten up. It's a child's game played by grown men but that doesn't mean grown men get to act like children over it.

And yeah, I've been other places too and I've caught flak for a Dallas shirt or hat but never once in Boston, San Fran, New York, San Diego, Honolulu, Biloxi, Chicago, Seattle or Detroit did I feel like one of those people were threatening me in a manner that I felt I had to defend myself. In Philly, I don't even like my friends laughing at me when the Giants, Steelers, Ravens or 'Skins win or lose against Dallas just so I can avoid an altercation with some loudmouthed, small-brained Eagles fan who overheard. But, thankfully, not all Eagles fans behave that way. But, the few poorly behaving ones like I mentioned above at the WAL*MART, do more than enough to make up for the many.

Why are you even responding to him, Joe? How many people throw NJ under the bus regularly? There was an entire thread about it last week! They dop it out of ignorance and because their own lives are so sad and uninteresting that they have to get their giggles someplace else. Don't give him the satisfaction. Don't respond to him because he clearly only has his entertainment in mind by insulting others just to garner a reaction. That's the definition of a troll.

John you didn't say they were shouting obscenities in your first post. I agree that that is uncalled for. However, if you wear the rivals colors in hometown area, expect to get heckled. Not beat up, not cursed at, not threatened, just heckled. Apparently they didn't just get heckled and for that they (the two doing the cusing) are shitheads. Please stop lumping all Eagle fans into the same boat.

. . . and what do you mean, "you are not like me?" I've never rubbed your nose in Dallas loses. I have many times broken your balls about being a unhomegrown Dallas fan but that was/is all in fun.

Edit; I just read your post again and the part I bolded above doesn't apply so ignore it.

BTW; Dallas looks really good and are on stride. I wish the effing Eagles would get their **** together and do something about the inconsistencies.

Now, I'm no football expert. I'm not even a football fan. But in the casual watching I did last night in the Eagles - Cowboys game, it didn't look like it was McNabb's fault.

The offensive lines let Dallas' rushers through like rabid Black Friday shoppers at Best Buy. And when McNabb was able to get a throw off (and it was rushed more often then naught), the football bounced off his receivers fans.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

You are correct in your observation that the Dallas D gobbled up the O line, however, McNabb has never developed the "feel" consistantly when the pressure is on and when to escape and last night he didn't adjust.

100% correct Joe, McNabb is just fine when things are going the Eagles way but in a clutch game situation he is totally unprepared both mentally & physically to pull out a win. The man still to this day can't hit a receiver in stride when it counts.

I've been watching the Cowboys since '75 and the past 13 years have been abysmal. I'm just happy they got past round 1 and I hope they don't self destruct and go backwards on penalties as demonstrated by the 1st quarter. Keep getting penalties and one day those 3rd and long situations are not going to convert and the offense ends up sitting on the sidelines waiting for the defense to pull off a miracle like last season. Crossing my fingers. Go Cowboys!!!

As for you Eagles fan, you saw what we went through at the end of the Aikman/Irvin/Smith era. Here's hoping it takes you guys longer than 13 years to find a replacement for McNabb/Reid but maybe you too will get a billion dollar stadium during a long drought. :D
