Pioneer 1019AH - M70, CS2, M40 small or large with Sub Plus?
Hi all,
I recently added the PSW10 to my setup with Monitor 70s, CS2 and Monitor 40 with Pioneer 1019AH.
Before the sub, I had all of the set to "large".
I have connected the PSW10 via RCA Y-cable and set the hz to max and volume at 50%. (I live in a condo I dont want the walls shaking)
The receiver has a subwoofer option for Yes or Plus (sends low frequencies to speakers).
Currently, I have all speakers set to large and I set the subwoofer option to Plus at 80hz. This sounds better to me than setting all speakers to Small with subwoofer set to Yes which sounds "boomy" to me.
I know the bottomline is I should use what sounds better to me, but is it better to have all the lows go through the sub instead?

Yes!!
There are no rules written in stone and too many factors to say one size fits all. Though a lot of people will tell you set everything to 'small'--if your ears say no...that's what counts!

How's that receiver driving those 70's?

It seems that there is quite a bit of woofer action available with the 70's to send all the heavy lifting to the subwoofer. I have my 70's set to large and my CS2 set to small and it sounds great with my 505 in the middle. I can't really tell much if any difference switching back and forth between small and large with my 70's.
