hi just came into me i should get some power protection.I've been looking at a monster HTS-2600. should i get it and do they help sound and video at all. or what else is out there

yes you should get some type of power protection. There are many companys that offer great products. It would depend on how much do you want to spend & what level of protection do you want. make sure whatever you buy matches with your equipment. One feature you may want to have is filtering to remove noise from the ac line. hope this helps. as above check out the other posts.
