I recently inherited a psw120...kind of. I have the box and the plate amp, the previous owner robbed the woofer and installed it in another box. I would like to replace the woofer but would like more detailed information (schematics if possible?) of the plate amp and it's capabilities. I'm trying to decide if I can fit a new speaker in the existing Polk box or build a new box.

Call up polk audio customer support and they should have a comparable replacement woofer for you.

I've been to the product page, but I'm curious on the wattage at 4 or 8 ohms? any filtering concerns? actual amp stats? etc. I have a tech support email in the queue, but sometimes getting to other users is a quicker avenue for help. I figured someone has had to re-speaker one of these.

I figured that any replacement woofer I bought would probably not fit the characteristics of that box, but that's also is why I'd like more info on the amp itself, it would be nice to be able to re-use it.

Hummm, I looked at the product page and I find odd it doesn't provide the max watts of the amp. This isn't typical of Polk. I hate when a product specs doesn't provide the full details. jarino, have you searched this product elsewhere on the net (IE: review(s) etc...)? Also, as suggested calling Polk CS is one of you best options (top notch/outstanding service). By the way, welcome to CP jarino.

I've scoured the google searches for this info and have come up with pretty generic info. I did send a CS email to Polk and am waiting for the response (hopefully with attachments), I'll try and give them a ring. I can't find any response curves, amp stats, power ratings, anything? Thanks everyone for your info, I guess I'll have to quit being lazy and pick up the phone. Then I suppose I'll start performing some tests.
