Through my company, I probably average $35K a year at Newegg, 2008 was over $100K. With all these orders every item has been brand new. Have there been problems? Of course, usually damaged parts from poor packaging. They once sent two hard drives loose in a FedEx overnight box with no packing material!
But they always take care of any problem. The only thing that bothered me, the couple of times I did have a big problem with an order, they would offer free gifts for positive reviews at resellerratings.com, not once, but pestering me for weeks. Like I owed them for the simple fact they fixed a problem. Seems like bribery. -

Your definately a differrent level of buyer than 90% of the folks out there. Therefore you see a different level of problems than the average joe blow that may spend a few dollars on a MB per year. Compared to others that buy the same MB 5 times and have to send 3 of them back.
I hold polk audio as a reference for CS that all stores should acheive...New egg is far from that level. And to treat problems different for the amount of money you spend is totally asking for problems. -

Ok. I bring up again:
A defective motherboard is not anything that newegg can control. That's why RMAs exist.
I had a bad run of 8 out of 10 Abit AN7 motherboards being DOA a few years back through newegg. A defective motherboard is the manufacturers problem, not Newegg's. It was pretty nice of newegg to fix the problem for me, when they could have just told me to go through the manufacturer, which i didn't relish a whole lot, because Abit's customer service blew at the time.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

RMA's are all about their sales process. They give you 30 days and some cases more to return a defective item. Gives them better leverage to earn your $$$$$$. So in all respect it is neweggs problem for a limited time anyway.
Ive noticed they went to a std shipping rate on most items. This will not be refuned if you have a problem. Sign of things changing is never good if it cost you and me more money. -

RMA is Newegg taking responsibility for a manufacturer's defect in an effort to keep you happy, and of course, to keep your money with them. It makes great sense from a sales perspective yes, but more-so from a customer service perspective. It is only their problem because they choose to make it their problem.
Can't make everyone happy i guess.
But alright, carry on. I'm sure everyone knows how i feel about newegg at this point, and it's pretty synonymous with how the overwhelming majority feels about them. I'm sorry that you had bad experiences with them.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

That's what i've gotten from them, though.
Maybe they're getting too big for their own good? Wouldn't be the first time it's happened to a company.
I'll be putting a large order through to them within the next month, we'll see what happens.
Good chance your outcome will be favorable. -
And to treat problems different for the amount of money you spend is totally asking for problems.
I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion from my post. I've always had good customer service, whether using my work account that spends big dollars, or using my personal account from home, where I order very rarily.Ive noticed they went to a std shipping rate on most items. This will not be refuned if you have a problem. Sign of things changing is never good if it cost you and me more money.
When I have exchanged an item, they have never charged shipping on the replacement. When I have returned defective/damaged items for refund, they have always refunded the shipping. And usually, but not always, email a shipping label to cover the return shipment. That's certainly better than most online computer parts sellers that will charge a re-stocking fee! -
After reading their "fine print" on returns policies, I'm considering buying my TV at Powerseller NYC or East Coast TVs instead of Newegg. (a minimum of 8 dead pixels before a display is considered defective !?!?#@*^)GTFOH !

Thank you. I have looked at the Samsung XL 2370 monitor for my son and I did read Newegg's fine print of 8/10 dead pixels....No, thank you. Savings $50.00 is not just worth the disapointment. -
Below is tracking status from a return label provided by newegg for an item sent in error. Spoke with UPS and they stated no packages where delayed due to christmas. I have 2 others purchases that were defective this year and I was blessed with the long return time. They are holding up my money for something that should have never been sent. Its only in Phoenix

You're blaming Newegg for a slow return? Seems like that's an issue with UPS. As far as holding up your money, do you expect them to refund before they recieve the item back?

This label was issued by newegg not UPS. And yes to your last question. -
Money was finally posted to my account on 12/07. Shipping label issued by newegg. Not UPS
Although there was the adverse weather conditions UPS stated this did not hold my delivery up, but it was due to the label issued by the merchant.

I'm not sure how Newegg issuing the label makes them responsible for UPS slow delivery.
As far as issuing refunds before the return arrives, that's just bad business. My company offers a choice of exchange or refund. If they want a refund, we wait until we receive the returned item. For exchanges, we will send the replacement before receiving the return, I end up billing the customer for the replacement item about 80% of the time, because they "forget" to send the defective merchandise back. Then I have to issue a credit when they finally do return it. Waste of time, luckily we are not nearly as big as Newegg, and there are only one or two returns a month. -

Soooo, Newegg now transports all it's own goods........when did they get in the transport business.
Don;t be an idiot..........even though Newegg "originated" the shipping label they have NO control once it's picked up by the carrier.
Geez..........you are dense, and just itching to drag them thru the mud. Don't buy stuff on-line if you can't deal with these very common issues. Go to a B & M store where you can walk the item from the shelf to the cashier to your car to your house. Simple really!

What exactly are you an expert on? Certainly not buying on-line.
