    I never feared for my organs in Cuernavaca. I know there were rough areas there, but *gasp* I stayed away from them...Past that, the Mexican family I stayed with was ridiculously friendly and accomodating. They truly wanted you to appreciate their culture, and no one had anything negative to say about us, even in some borderline heated political discussions (my cousin was in Afghanistan in the Marines during that time.)

    I've never had a bad experience in Mexico. . . that I can remember clearly.
    Underrated. If I had a few extra satchels of cash, I'd get a place on the beach and rent it out until I was ready to retire.
