    Wow.

Now that I own a pair of SDAs, that thread made me cringe.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Wow just wow! Did he say he cut two ports into the cabinets? Even if he didn't he sure butchered them.

Kudos to Face for trying to help him. However, at this point those speakers are nothing but firewood.

I can't see this link because of Chinese filters...but from the discussion above I understand that some less than grey-mattered fellow has cut some bass ports into an SDA speaker? That's one definitely one for the books! Why not just remove the passive radiator period....that way you could have at least a 12" bass port...? That ought to give you some prodigious bass.

    Just for you...
I added two ports per cabinet that are 5''L x 2"W. If these ports are too small I can replace them with larger ones.

    and.....
Finally I decided to use 1 12'' woofer instead of the two 6 1/2'', port the cabinet, and I replaced half of the pioneers with the pyles. The pioneers aren't needed now, so I'm just using them to seal the holes, though they do sort of act like passive radiators.

Now, he wonders why they sound like crap.......Hilarious!

I actually like this mod. I'm going to try this with my 1.2TL's, right after I mod my Magnepan MG 12's with custom tweeter arrays (with in-line caps) made from the SL 2000's taken out of my SDA SRS's.:)
