Tubes Rules for one reason! The guys who stored those NOS tubes for the past 40-50 years need you!

I think I said it simple enough. But it may not sounds too silly after you read this.

A Quad Set of Genalex Gold Lion KT88 for $1499. If I have saved like 20 sets, I will surely be saying Tubes Rule!

Any piece of gear is user and system dependent. To bash one or the other is just silly.

Still silly and irrelevant. And tubes do rule regardless of cost and since I am benefiting from them I say Merry Christmas.

If tubes didn;t rule.........then no way could one sell a Quad of those for $1499 :p

Merry Christmas! I am saving Brand New Tubes in boxes to sell in the next 40 years. I know I can say Tubes Rules when I am unloading the NOS Tubes. I also know that Christmas coming in the next 40 years will be a lot merrier for me! :D

That's cool. Glad you're enjoying them. Does your Anthem only accept 6922? Can you run 6DJ8's in it? The 6DJ8/6922 family are fun to roll. I got lucky many years ago and scored on a very large amount of them pulled out of old scopes that test new/strong. All were matched and there were different brands like Amperex, RCA labeled Mullards, Bugle Boys, etc.

I really like the BB and A-frame Amperex.

Enjoy the tunes and keep those tubes rolling:).

    Yeah, tubes rule!

It will take any in that family of tubes.

I will eventually move the Mazda tubes to the back and the Mullards to the front to hear if that set-up is yummier.

    Tubes reign

Ha ha, so he's shown the symptoms.
You know it's gotten really bad when you walk into the room and you hear your gear asking you "Is that a 300B in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?"

I went tube insane for about 5 years. Used SS for the past few years and now I'm back to tubes and mixtures of ss/tubes. The insanity is slowly starting again ha ha.

NJ, can you explain. AS you know I have the Pre 1l that uses 4 of the 6922 family. I would have thought all 4 needed to the same tube matched.

    What secret is this

And I agree - Tubes do rule !
