There's almost a foot of snow out there already and it is supposed to keep snowing into Sunday. All I have to clear it is a small snow shovel and a very skinny 12 year old.:D

It's really funny in the DC metro area when a storm is coming, people flood the grocery stores and strip them like a plague of locusts! The international members of the population do not have the first clue as to how to drive in snow, not very "PC" but.....Asians are the WORST !! If you don't hafta go out...don't. I won't be because my 4WD's front axle won't engage.

Ehhh.... i've only seen one real snow in the last almost 4 hours now. I'm from one of the snowiest areas in the US, so i miss a good storm, and that crazy dead quiet it gets outside when it's snowing stupidly hard.

And i miss tearing around backroads in storms in awd turbo cars with lightbars. :D

If it gets really bad here, i have a spare set of studded snow tires mounted on steelies that i'll put on my 350+whp MX6 and go have a blast. ;)

But it won't get bad enough for me to bother unmounting my summer tires. :(

I have close to 12" here in Fredericksburg, Virginia now. Calling for a total of up to 24" here in my area, seems we are in the heart of it. Christmas came early for me this year, when my wife asked what I wanted for X-mas I told her SNOW, guess you just can't put a time frame on mother nature.

I always get a kick out of "snow" postings! Up here last year, in around a 24 hour period, we got over 2 feet, a mini-blizzard if you will. It's kind of cool when I listen to the radio for closings and hear that every stinking business is closed, except where I work... Man, they don't close shop for anything there. I've been there for 15 years and they closed once for weather.

So far we got around 14 inches in a little less than 24 hours.

No offense against some cities out east but it's funny when I hear some going nuts and closing everything down after 6 inches or so of snow.
Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me

I know what you mean. Down here, if we get a dusting, they call out the National Guard.
