One more thing...Korny Toneheiser thinks he's funny, but he's not. His jokes go over like a lead balloon.

He seems like he's having fun and actually knows what he's talking about.

As annoying as John Madden could be, those were the two qualities he seemed to ooze in the broadcast booth. Madden always seemed like he was having a blast and honestly, he was one of the best analysts of all time. I learned alot about football and coaching strategies from Madden and his lightpen. But the fact that he seemed to be having the time of his life brought a certain level of fun to the broadcast of the game that nobody seems to have been able to duplicate.

Pat Summerall on the other hand. Man, that guy seemed like a constant downer. Like he was always soused on cheap martinis and broadcasting in a drunken stupor. At least he was good at calling a game.

I gotta agree about both Madden and Gruden.. even Jaws. They are ok with me. There is a lot to be said for love and enthusiasm. They have that for sure.

Yeah, how quickly I forgot about Kornheiser. He was the worst...ever. I actually somewhat miss Madden and Summerall, even though Madden would blather on for minutes at a time.

You know who else blathers on and on and on nowadays....Steve Young on ESPN.

Once he starts - he just goes on and on....
