I'm surpised at all the people trying to move their TVs up so their center fits underneath. You guys must not live in earthquake country. 50"+ plasmas are big and heavy. And anything from an earthquake to kids could topple them over on stands. I much prefer securing the TV to the wall. And if not that, I think it would be easier to move the speaker over the screen than to find something stable enough to put the TV stand on. Low placment pointing up to your ears or high placement pointing down (maybe not as high as Ken's on the lightbridge tho) should sound the same, shouldn't it?

Yea... i think i've had it. I'm going to put the TV stand on sale and get one of the glass/wood ones that have enough space for the center. My current stand looks nice but does not quite work. :(

Luckily we don't have many earthquakes in the NW. I am leaning toward the shelf above the TV for the center FWIW. I have looked a little bit at the wall mounts but the ones I've seen that would put the panel out far enough from the wall for my setup run close to $300. I can build a nice oak shelf for next to nothing.

No but I live in flood and hurricane country. Raising the tv up a couple of inches is a good thing out here :p

This seems like a recurring problem these days with all of the bigger screens coming out and being so affordable. Posted a pic below of my current setup. I've got my CS350 on top of the lightbridge, not ideal I know. I am currently shopping for a 50" plasma which takes up exactly the same footprint as my 42" LCDRP. I am then either going to build a shelf for the center that spans the piers or find some kind of pedestal that the center would go under and the TV would sit on top of.

After setting up the TV stand it seems that the CS2 will block the TV by about 2 inches.

I have a panasonic 54 plasma. Its mounted on its base and the base extends out quite a bit. The center speaker will rest on the TV stand. The display area is 6 inches from the TV stand. The CS2 speaker is 7 3/4 high.

Raising the TV by putting stuff under its stand will not work since the stand protrudes out so much that the speaker has to rest on it.

Any creative solutions? I would hate to get rid of the CS2 and go with a different center speaker

The CS2 is on order and can be cancelled...

I am faced with the same situation and with a similar lightbridge for placement of 50 inch panny plasma. I am going to hang it on the wall, since I hate to buy another 300 dollars worth of furniture that goes between the piers. Also "monoprice" has pretty good wall mounts (with tilt/swivel/extend flexibility) for a price below 1 benjamin.

However, I cannot figure out how I should mount the CS2 center channel (I am about to buy it today). Can someone please guide me how I will be able to mount it since I don't see any wall mount configuration in the pictures on newegg? Will I need to disassemble for DYI? or may be some kind of metal latch that can be screwed to the back, which then can be hung on the wall.

    will appreciate any help! thanks.

You might start your own thread, as yours is different from OP's...& pictures would be helpful.

Thanks Love2Listen - but I got my issue fixed.

I got a new Tv stand. No way I was going to change my speakers ;)

I really appreciate the creativity and the help from the forum members. The Sanus stand was really nice but because it had to be a special order and i was unsure how it would work out - I went and checked out the whalen stand that superjunior has. It was on display at best buy and it is "perfect" for me :)

A big thanks to SuperJunior for sharing his setup and measurements and to everyone else for the suggestions too.

Here is the new stand with Monitor 70's on the side and the CS2 under the TV. Now just waiting for the reciever and other components to ship in and complete my setup!

I just put the speakers next to the Tv for now. Once I get the remaining stuff and my in-wall wiring is complete - will space out the components.

looks nice! I think I will end up mounting my TV on the wall above the TV stand and putting the center on the TV stand below the TV.
