Hi guys,

I have the Polk LSI15s and I am looking at the Paradigm Studio 100!
Will this be an upgrade in sound compared to the LSI15s? Hpw do the paradigm studio 100 compare to the LSI15?

Appriciate any opinions

THanks

No matter what responses you get here, it will still come down to what sounds better to YOU.

I tried out the studio 100's when speaker shopping, the bass output from the 100's was great IMO. That was the only thing I thought they did better than the LSi's, so I went with Polk. They are both great pieces, and you really can't go wrong with either.

Try 'em out. It's the only way you'll know for sure.

Never heard the Paradigms. Try the PSB Synchrony One towers. I can say that is an upgrade in sound.

That's the truth. FWIW, I auditioned B&W 600-series (683?) and Paradigm Studio 100's together and the LSi-15's separately (since they're not carried in "high end" stores ) I chose the LSi's.

They are a very different sound. You should come out of any comparisons with a definate favorite. I can understand someone liking either one, but personally - I like the LSi's. (but I bet the Paradigms would sound better with the gear I currently have (mainly the NAD pre/pro.)

    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)

I really like the midrange clarity of the Paradigm Studio series but that's about it. I'd go with LSi for that round.

I wouldn't bother with anything from PSB.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I'd go with a quality set of Sony speakers.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

"I have owned Snell's, Polks, EPI's, and Boston's and these are much better, for the money- period."

So your asking us, hmm. Seems like you already know, so why bother.
Also seems like you've been wanting to compare a lot of speakers lately, if your moving overseas why would you start comparing when you have to sell them off right away.

Both speakers live in different price classes. You should check out the Studio 60's for a more closer compare.
I also suggest listening to the B&W CM9's , I think they personally are the best 3000.00 and under non powered floor standing speaker made. Everytime I listen to them they make me question my current speaker package.
Another good one would be the Definitive Technology Mythos STS. This speaker has won many awards including Audio Product of the Year 2008 Sound and Vision mag.

The lsi series is very good musically and so so for theater. Not great double duty speakers. I owned them and wanted more.
