You all know how I distaste my Lsi's.... explain this.... I turned the system on today and it sounds infinitely better.... no settings have been changed since I turned it on last, but it sounds extremely good compared to before.

I have no explanation whatsoever... any ideas? I don;t think anything was reset, and if it was, I have done that many many times before

I don't get the question. We're supposed to tell you what changed, when nothing changed?

It's all psychological. Happens to me occasionally, but it mostly has to do with the mood I'm in at that moment or my stress level, etc.

alright, crows and moon cycles ... perfect, I can do this :)

Well, thing is, I have them plugged into a wall outlet that is controlled by a switch, I accidentally flipped this switch, then flipped it back... so besides this switch being magic, or my new medication, or even the smoke... could that flipping have had anything to do with it>?

Haha so people really needing help will sit with empty threads for days, and this one gets filled up in 10min with a bunch of eye rollzz :)

Anyways, I can agree that some times I am 'wowed' more than other times when listening to my speakers speaking.

Glad to hear you're hearing good sounds from your setup.

There are occasions where I am infinitely wowed beyond belief at what comes out of my speakers, and then other times I'm like WTF!! I truly believe the mood has a lot to do with it at times as well-or at least has some influence. Even for certain types of music, some days I'll listen to New Age or Solo piano and be relaxed - and other days I'll put it on and suddenly feel anxious.

Some days I hear sweet sounds, some days the balance is shifted to the right, some days I have dead center vocal imaging, some days its a bit harsh, some days its perfect.

In my Home Theater, which I thoroughly enjoy the sound of, I actually noticed that it sounded a bit better when I moved the furniture around whenever I put the Christmas tree up. I first noticed this last christmas and I hear the same improvement this year. My guess is that the tree is probably absorbing/diffusing at a reflection point in the room thus resulting in better overall room acoustics--the Tree is right about where the 1st reflection point would be....

interesting. I am just amazed because it sounds the same each day, then today it sounds much much different. Many of the things I have complained about seem to be fixed. The only problem I notice is that it has a right bias, but thats probably because the right speakers closest wall is closer than the left.

Perhaps the Darque Knight snuck in and connected one of his magic power cords.
I like that one better than the Cornhulio mod, but the burn-in theory makes sense too.

Perhaps there should be a Polk Forum Commission set up to investigate these happenings.
