250 is a steal though I lucked into mine. I guess mine are a little older with a serial of 3349. They sound great since I replaced a dead tweeter. Good luck with the bid. O-Town is about 2 hours east of me.

Good luck with the bid. Hope you get them. You will not be disappointed. I got lucky with mine. I resonded to the add and thought they were SDA 2's but to my surprise they were 2.3's.

"Described as WOOD lure, it was not, would not respond to my messages. UNHAPPY"
"Horrible SELLER. I wish I had read feedback on seller - -won't respond -AVOID ."
"described,in working order,BOTH reels were NOT WORKING and require MAJOR REPAIR"
"SELLS REPAINTS AS NEW. SEE HISTORY. WILL NOT ANSWER EMAILS, OR REFUND"
"the worst packaging job I have ever experianced in 8+ years of ebaying"
"BYRS BWARE SELR EMAILS RUDE 2 ITEM BROKN NO REFUND WANTS ME TO RETURN LOSE MONEY"
"not in full working order, one item completely non-functional; refused to refund"
" IF YOU WANT TO SELL REPROS THEN LIST THEM AS SUCH! NOT AS DESCRIBED! "
"Collectors Beware MINT means cracked&chipped - Arrogant, Read All Feedback First"
"item would not close. people ugly to work with, Bad sellers,&worse product, EVIL"
"BUYER BEWARE seller will sell junk!! and has a very rude attitude"
"BUYER BEWARE: no books and no serious reply to plea for help."

Lots of negative feedback but you're close enough to pick up so if he's lying about condition or anything, you can just drive away. I'm going to bet they will need poly switches like mine. Polk sent me mine for free. Good luck and hope you win.

Since the donut drivers are unavailable, is there a possibility of using a different model number driver on that speaker, if necessary? Just curious.

Snipe or not, great deals on Ebay rarely happen unless one of the following occurs:
-Item is mislabeled and slips under the radar
-Item is plentiful to the point of being glutted on the market.
-Auction ends at a strange time AND it is a short auction (3 days or less) OR ends on a major holiday like Christmas.
-Seller has a low BIN price due to ignorance of value.

Of course, none of those are a guarantee of a good deal.
I do agree that sniping is the way to go. Never tip your hand and bid early.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I agree with you billbillw, it does require a good amount of searching however, but well worth it when you score big!

I have a pair of these 2.3's that still need a minor repair. Can you find them for cheaper than a grand? probably. But I would still pay a that amount of money for that sound. Just my opinion though.

We'll have to see if the sale actually goes through. These speakers would have never sold for this much money in a seriously economically depressed region. Florida was a good market for this sale. I hope somebody here got them.

$1,000 iss not a bad deal considering what you would get from Best Buy for $1,000.
