Hello all,

Have not been around for a while. I see that nothing much has changed here. My wife up and left me a couple of weeks ago so needless to say I have been a bit preoccupied.
On the bright side I still have my rig and no one to tell me to turn it down! Gotta pick the positives out of the **** at this point. It's nice to be back.

Thanks for the support guys...it's kind of funny because music has been a great form of therapy for me over the last few weeks.
Anyway, I really beleive that things happen for a reason and this too will pass with time.
    Thanks again guys,

Been there also. In my case my first wife, "IS an ATTorney!", if... you talk to her! My first purchase was a boat with a kick **** engine. Damn I enjoyed it without her and by accident I fell in Love again. Its only a matter of time.

Nothing can replace a wife better than a damn good subwoofer, they blow better and more efficiently with little input. :) Sounds like a wise decision to me!

With the pending divorce and all I need to conserve as much money as I can because I am probably going to lose everthing I have except my rig...of course.
Anyway I went with the 20-39PCi. From everything I have heard and read it will be all I need for my fairly small room and then some. I ordered it this morning so I should have it sometime the middle of this week. Needless to say I am really excited to see what this thing can do.

    Nat:

Let me know if you need any help setting up the sub. Great choice in a mid sized room.

Can't remember what you are upgrading from, but the signature SVS sound takes some getting used to. Unless you have a room problem, the SVS FR is very flat through the mid bass range, and if your old sub had a boomy peak in the 40-50 Hz range, the SVS may initially sound anemic in comparison. Welcome to accurate bass - after a week or so, you won't want to go back.

When some truly low bass hits, the SVS will strut its stuff with authority. Try Titan AE, SW Pod Race, SWII Opener, Toy Story 2 opener, Monster's Inc. sock explosion, The Haunting (DTS). If you need other references, let me know.

    Doc,

There was no comparison from note one with this bomb. I used the Avia disc to calibrate. Set up was a breeze, only problem is I only can turn the volume up about a third of the way!!!!
Clear, accurate and smooth, I think the thing that surprised me the most was how well it just seems to dissapear with the rest of my speakers. I could not have spent that 600 clams in any better fashion. I am simply amazed, what a product.

Your comments are, fortunately, common with SVS owners. Congrats - glad you are loving it.
