http://www.bkcomp.com/fileadmin/content_products/manuals/ht_manual/AVR_507_505_S2_UM_13791_1104.pdf

page 11(13) of the manual says this unit has 5.1 input for SACD or DVD-Audio. I assume this means that I can run the audio tracks of standard DVD and BR into these inputs as well, right? My OPPO decodes the new digital formats internally and I send them to the receiver through the analog outputs.

thanks..

Mike

Yes it does and you can use them to have the Oppo dac do the deoding. Remember to set-up the input for the DVD to "DVD-audio" on the input setup screen.

Yes. They are generic multi-channel inputs but had to be labled something trendy.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Absolutely and it sounds amazing doing so. I did a job with a AVR507 and added a Blur ray Pioneer Elite , used 6 Ixos cables and man it sounded sweet. It was a full Vanderstein 7.2 theater.
