LOL, it is actually pretty good. Only catch is it is take and bake. They make it right in front of you and you take it home and cook it. It is a chain out here, they are all over the place.

edit, damn concealer you beat me to it, lol

If you REALLY want that... There's a place out here called "Gallagher's Pizza" that would probably make that for you.

Seriously. Some **** brought me a pizza that had potatos, corn, and turkey on it.

    I was not a happy camper. :p

There may have been... there was so much stuff on that damn "pizza" that you couldn't even tell what you had in your mouth at one time, so i wouldn't be surprised if there was cranberry sauce and/or pumpkin pie chunks on that ****.

Damn. I'm getting mad just thinking about it. People out here can't cook worth a damn. They overcook and underseason EVERYTHING, and they can't even get pizza right.

Tons of cheese, pepperoni, olives, and mushrooms. Cooked at a high enough temperature that the pepperoni got crispy, just the way i like it! :D

    Yep!

And my oven knob is marked to 500 degrees, but it will turn quite a bit farther. Don't know if it actually goes any hotter, but it's fun to turn PAST 500. :D

I don't know how often you make the trek west to Seattle, but supposedly the Cherry-Bomb Pepper and Sausage pie at Serious Pie is legendary. Even among the most snobbish of New Yorkers...

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

So a friend ordered pizza from one of the big chain pizza places.. and this place is only located about three blocks from his house.. guess where the phone call was answered?

    wait for it........

    Yup, India.

    INDIA??

why in the hell would a pizza chain outsource their pizza orders? what ever happen to the pimply faced 17 yr old taking the order? now it has to go to India, then back here to complete a pizza order? seriously, I am not kidding.

Maybe this isn't new, but i was stunned by it.

I don't often quote myself.. but I thought this was a good time.. so you all didn't have to read this long thread.

but this Pizza Hut restaurant just went out of business.. maybe people were to frustrated by no being able to understand the person on the other end taking their order perhaps?

I don't know for sure.. but makes one wonder if outsourcing calls to a call center in a foreign country might hurting some businesses?

Hell , the Gov't in Indiana thought about setting up a call center in India and laying off the workers here. They were actually in the process of getting it done.
At some point , someone had the idea, what the hell are we doing , laying off residents of Indiana who answer calls about their State and sending their jobs overseas? Isn't it our job to look out for our residents ?
    The idea got cancelled.

yes it's true, most of the chains you can order over the net.. but not all people have computers in their homes.. i know it's tough to believe.. but some people still use a thing called a telephone to call a pizza joint. ;)

How in the hell can they possibly save any money by outsourcing that?

You can outsource high level functions to college graduates in India for around $20 an hour US. A low level function like answering a phone probably runs about $6 bucks an hour. Considering hiring costs, etc this probably has a pretty reasonable ROI.

<Heavy Indian Accent> Would you like curry on that?

Yeah, Pizza Hut sucks IMO. Just called and ordered a pizza today. Well somehow the person didn't speak english very well. Ended up saying I wanted to pay by CC and gave the # and everything. Well ended up not being charged (I guess even though they ran a charge through on my card, which I didn't know at the time) so when the guy shows up at my door he hands me my food and says thats ___. I'm like well I paid by card, at which he was like no you didn't. Well me being a little pissed, and lucky I had cash go find 40.00 bucks to give the guy. Well it was 22.93 total, I give him 40.00 then he asks me what does he owe me back, and starts digging through his pockets in order to find money to make change. Well in the end he got an 8.00 buck tip because he didn't have enough change and he kept asking me how much he owes. Sorry but if your doing this as a job, please learn how to do math.

Then I nicely call their customer care in order to file a complaint about the whole thing and guess what? I get OUT SOURCED again. man I really hate that crap.
Supposedly she will have the store manager call me tomorrow to discuss because there isn't one at the store right now. blah.

Stick to homemade/local stuff, last time I order their crappy food and terrible service.

    wow.. that bites...

yeah.. if the big chains want to outsource their phone bank.. then we as consumers just need to purchase from someone else.

if you get a call from them, mention that.. you don't care for their business practices and plan on spending your hard earned money on a local pizza store that keeps jobs local.

oh don't worry I will. I just find it really frustrating and annoying when someone can't even do simple math like that in their head. Its more like its your job to be able to give someone change, if you can't add and subtract then I don't think your cut out for it, sorry. I'm not trying to be mean about it, but if I was not able to perform something comparable to this at my job, I would be gone in about a second.

I don't really know how you can compare that to a standard pizza. It's a completely different food to me.

Dude, I hate to tell you but he knew exactly how much change you needed. He screwed you out of an $8 "tip". It's an old scam that a friend of mine used to pull on people when he delivered pizzas. He would get crazy "tips". He would take an $11 pizza to someone and they would pay with a $20 and he'd stand there and say he didn't have change. 5-10 minutes of arguing and he'd walk away with a $9 "tip" when he had at least $30 in ones alone in his pocket. It's a **** move.

They say they don't carry more than $40 in change but they roll with much more. Because somebody will order $45 in food and hand them a benny and they have to make at least $45 in change if they get a decent tip out of it.
