I just wanted to extend my extreme appreciation to Polk Audio for their fantastic customer service.
I recently bought a refub pair of RTiA5's from Polk Direct and have been really enjoying them as the mains in my HT. They get a good amount of use in 2 ch with my HK AVR354 in stereo mode too. I really love these speakers and they are an unbelieveable upgrade from my old CerwinVega towers.
About a month after I bought them, I found some old Marantz stereo seperates at a garage sale and I picked them up for $40, just to play with. The amp was rated at 100 x 2 and I should have known better than to use my new speakers a testers. Needless to say, I peaked the amp and blew the tweeters.
I thought there was no way Polk would cover my mess up and I thought I would be responsible for replacing them. This was not the case, as my friend convinced me to call CS just to see. Sure enough, they sent me two brand new tweeters with no questions asked would have even sent new crossovers if mine were burned. I never expected this, as I have never experienced service like this before.
If anyone from Polk is reading this, thank you for making such awsome products and standing by them so steadfastly. I have been and will continue to recommend Polks to anyone looking to experience a new level of audio. You've made a customer for life.
