    Looking real good man!

If you add more bracing for the weight of the TV, I'd try to run them between the mid/woofs and try to go back 4" or so. This will support the TV and block any back waves of one driver from interfering with the other. You could also run them after the outermost mid/woofs to make sure the PR reacts to only the full wave of the enclosure and not the closest part of the fastest wave of the nearest driver.
    Make it Funky! :)

Har, you sir are a MADMAN. That thing looks GREAT.

Hoosier, I think Har and F1 'split' a pair of 15's for exactly this project.....

Thanks everyone for the appreciation... I will keep you updated until this thing finished with pictures.

gidrah, thanks for the suggestion too. Yes I will run about 4 pieces of vertical supports between the woofs, 2 in the front and also 2 at the back. Originally suggested by Jesse and other members. I will do it by the weekends.

This thing is pretty heavy because of the Solid ASH wood top and
    bottoms.

hoosier, yeah Russ was right. Jesse and I split a pair of 15's for this purpose (because of the SL3000 tweets).

Micah, do I qualify for a job at Polk?

This is a one of a kind Center Channel. :)

    hoosier,

Are you going to make one also? Did you get the 15TL's instead
    of Jesse?

What type of cabinet are you going to make? Probably the same like mine;)

Looks like the RTA15tl's will be mine.

I will be building something VERY close you yours, have not really put pencil to paper yet.

A thought I have is to make the front face taller to allow the PR to be in the front.

Also wondering about using all the drivers from both speakers, but that is really just a wild thought so far.

I will have to first pick the TV to go on top, then plan from there.

That's what I am thinking it before to be in the front but decided
to placed them on the sides. Love to have them on the sides
    though.

I guess I have the baby-brother project. I am planning on building a center channel from the components from an RTA8T (an SL2000 and two 6510s), as soon as I can scrounge the dough for the 6510s Hbomb is holding for me. This would be to match the Monitor series I have all the way around (except for center). I've got the tweeters and crossovers. My only question is whether I build a center using the components from one speaker, or two. I don't really think I need a center with two SL2000s and four 6510s... but if I use only half of them, I don't have anything to do with the other half, except hold them for parts.

Anyway, hope to get going on this soon. I may do a hurry-up project and build a center into the VCR space on our TV cart. I could use half the drivers and at least have a fun experiement and a better center while I build the separate box.

You know....I had tried to imagine what it was going to look like and I can honestly say I had no idea that it was going to look like
and that it would look that damn good, I can't wait to see the final results. I would like to do one but it will have to more low profile than the one you have built in order to keep the big screen from being next to the ceiling. Job well done har!

I did a research on which Polk Center Channel will match my SDA's TL version and nothing comes close, even their top of the line which is the CS1000p. I came to a decision; I will make the RTA 15TL to an excellent Center Channel especially
with the SL3000 tweeter because I know how. The only Alternative to acquire one will be from my favorite shopping store and that's eBay. At that time there is one available. I need only one, so I spoke to f1nut(Jesse) if he is interested to get the other Channel. He let me do the bidding. We finally got it to $326.00. At that time I was already thinking of what type of Cabinet Enclosure has to be done.

The purpose of this Center Channel is to make a Table Top for a
Plasma 50" tv and matches my SDA's (with SL3000's).

    The Design Criteria will be:

    1. For a table top, it should only be the same height as a coffee
    table.
    2. The Plasma TV Screen should be adjusted to eye level when sitting on a couch.
    3. The Center Channel character would work more on furniture type not just speaker alone to adapt any type of Family Room,
Living Room or a Home Theater.
    4. To match the coffee table the maximum height will have to be 19".
It may have to be a little lower but it should not be higher than 19".

I decided to place the Passive Radiators in the sides similar to
PSW 1200, PSW 650 and the upcoming PSW 808.

I think this way it will add more impact between the 2 Front
    Main Speakers.

The RTA 15TL has more Bass than any Center Channel out there:)

    Hey Har-
Sounds like things are coming along very nicely. You have how many projects going right now, and still manage to pull off this kind of work? I am very impressed, again. If I even attempted to take on as many things as you have going I would totally screw everything up, I wish I could build things like that.
Awesome job bro, keep it up.
    Good luck

Har - do you have to worry with shielding when you have a Plasma?

Anybody - I am leaning towards the Sony 50" or 60" LCD tv, is shielding an issue with these tv's?

CC sells the 60" for 4999.99, and the 50" for 3999.99.

I have a Sony connection, so I can get these for a better deal than that, but it is still TOO DAMN much money for a TV.

The LCD does have problems with black, I need a better demo to see if it will bother me, they have only played Toy Story or some such when I have seen it, I want to see something real played on it.

The deal is not closed, I am still looking at RPTV's.
