To me, it looks like physical damage and not electrical overstress. It also looks like a single layer PCB. If you have difficulties re-soldering the lead back into the existing hole, you could drill another hole through the foil and board, scrape some of the varnish and solder the lead through the new hole.
BTW, I hope the speaker is not laying face down on the tweeter.Stan

If your unsure of your ability to tackle the repairs,I would get 2 new crossovers and bring both speakers to someone who knew what they were doing. This however doesn't mean the rest of the speaker is OK. Man, you really took a shot in the dark with these puppies dude.HT SYSTEM-

you only live once!! anyway, i looked at the backside of the board and see no damage, no burns or anything out of wack. i just thought that i could finally get a shot at owning some lsi's on the cheap, time will tell if i got totally screwed or not. yeh, they're not cosmetically sound but a little tlc and they could make some decent basement or garage speaksSamsung pn64f8500

1. If you look at the coil it self, it seems to be slightly damaged therefore measure it to make sure it is still good (neither shorted or open).
2. I see at least 4 solder in the center that seemed to have been tampered with, check if the tracks weren't damaged...
3. The pad is lifted off the board; a portion of the pad remained attached to the coil lead, you can see the naked board in the area where it was located, the remainder of the pad is also damaged at the board.
4. If and only if the coil is still good, the only way to fix such is to remove the broken pad of the coil, gently scrape the coating of the remaining run and resolder the coil at that location. I hope you have a good heat controlled soldering gun and that your skills are good as well.
5. According to your last post you say the remainder of the board is good? That is important otherwise you are wasting your time.
6. If you are not the best skilled at soldering, like tonyb says order replacement Xo.
Cheers and good luck!

this is the main concern for which i started the thread, trying to find out if the tearing of the pad would be fixable. considering i don't have the correct tool for the fix, i would need to borrow one, which may not be possible. i may just look to see how much a new xo will be, but in the end i will not give up till i hear these. i'm fairly confident they won't run me too much $ to get them back in shape, and i will keep updating those who spent the time to help save these poor speakers
thankyou everyone, again your time and advice is greatly appreciatedSamsung pn64f8500

It appears the lifted pad is at the beginning of the LF filter. You can just run the LF + wire from the binding posts directly to the side of the coil that lifted off the board."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
