Being from Finland, I like the winter so much I have a 12 trip coming up on Thursday to Puerto Vallarta. Nice 28 degrees (Celsius) out there, give or take, beach and lots of micheladas. That's how much I like winter.

I know... you really could have spared me a little of this here... i mean, it's good and impressive and all that, but really, you could have at least given me curtains on the windows too...

Oh sure... I ask for one thing, and I get the, "Go buy it yourself" answer... see what asking does for ya? What kind of God doesn't even give me curtains and then insults his own creation's intelligence by asking, does that hose work?! Oh ya, it works, just ask her.... no her... the one right over there. NO, not the dog you pervert...

Or make it home from the bar when you people are stupid drunk. I just want a vacation. I think I might go hang with Keiko and leave Misses God home. Just go strolling the beaches pick up some Honeys.

My favorite is when it is snowing heavily outside, and you go out, and cant really hear anything. No traffic, no anything. That's the perfect time to fire the system up lol. Insulation unlimited :D

I can't compete with that...less than 20 winters in Maine...this year in Beijing--not exactly 'warm' but not much snow to expect. And a year in Jersey but the other 18 up there so I understand where you're coming from cogito...

You're right. I live way under you, and if you get curtains don't be surprised if they mysteriously go up in flames.

Nice. The funny thing is, we are heading out to our condo to make sure they are installing AC units next week.

After that it will be available for rent (remember to mention Club Polk for a discount ;)).

I love winter. My windows are closed, my neighbors are inside with their windows closed, and I can just sit back and listen to music without hearing my neighbors, or disturbing them. Plus, the technology used in my two Cambridge-Audio 840W amps causes them to get hotter than Hades. In the summer it makes listening with windows closed almost unbearable, but in the winter it keeps the room toasty. I hope global warming screws up the weather so bad that it is winter year round. ;)
You love winter simply because you live away from it... Come to North America Winterland (Canada) and your comments will change ;) I am part of the frozen chosen but fact is I was never asked if I agreed

Of course, being retired all I need is a winter supply of beer and food, so the plows can take all the time they need. :D
Ha, now this explains everything, good on you :)

A previous neighbor was an alcoholic who would stay up all night Friday and Saturday drinking with his alcoholic friends. While I could care less about that (been there, still do it once in a while) he had outdoor speakers that got louder and louder the drunker he got. I called the cops on him so many times he finally got the hint and moved. I gave up trying to reason with him when he was drunk since he was a differant person then.

One time it was pretty funny. After the cops came down on him one Friday, the next night around 2 AM he was out back yelling "I'll give you something to call the police for.", and proceeded to haul his stereo outside and set it up. After he started blasting it, the 'more' sober of his friends managed to get him inside and shut it down.

While I like music, I try not to impose it on others, and I hate it when I am assualted by someone elses music.

So, the middle of no where sounds like the perfect place.
You don't need winter problems, you got enough dealing with that neighbor of yours

In middle of one of the newest developments in the burbs. We are to get about 20cms of snow on Wed. We are on a side street, it doesn't get plowed usually till we are sleeping the night after the storm. Thank god for winter tires and having an SUV. as for neighbours...well, every where we look...there is someone looking back at us...
It's HERE NOW :eek::eek: The first one of the year, NOT enjoying but there is NO way back! The white trash is on us for quite a few months now

Out here in Olympia, Wash. it got down to 9 degrees this morning at 5:00 a.m. No moisture in the air and really dry. This is unusual for us at this time of year or any time of year.

The wind is kicking at 50mph sustained with 60mph gusts...
And is traditional for Ohio, there is no snow, just bitter, ****-****$ed cold.

Oh, it snows here... But it likes to get massive, stupid cold for a long ****$ time and make you suffer, suffer, suffer...

Dude, it has gotten into the 40s the last few days here. I have had to wear a long sleeve flannel shirt over my T-shirt when I go outside. ;)

At least it keeps my neighbors inside with the windows closed so I can listen to music in peace and quiet.

I moved here from the East Coast (MD) in the 70s, and I still have not bought a winter jacket. I am not retired yet, but when I do retire I would not mind being up in the mountains or someplace where it snows a lot. Sitting by the fire, watching the snow, along with the quiet and solitude, while drinking some beer or wine, and listening to tunes is a fine way to pass the time.

sorry guys, I like the summer!

I liked Ft Lauderdale. Kill all the people there and it would be a great place.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
