PSW202 blown fuse - markings

My son's PSW202's fuse was blown. We realized it after a local lightning storm, which fried his cable box and some components in his home's AC unit. The blown fuse's markings are "2A 250V". I bought a replacement fuse, but it has a slightly different marking, since it reads "T2A 250V". Does the letter "T" that precedes "2A" change the way the fuse work? Can I use it, or should I continue to look for a replacement fuse that just reads "2A 250V" plain, without the "T" at the beginning?
