When the hell did Kmart start selling Adcom gear?

Isn't that a bit out of financial reach of their target demographic?

Sears is introducing Adcom into their electronics category in test markets. Sears owns Kmart, so it's not really too far fetched, although surprising considering the demographic targeting between the two brands.

A few years ago, you could buy the Sony VPL-HS51 projector from Sears. I thought it was a bit out of their target demographic... considering projectors were a high $$ item back then.

I'd like to return these $9 shoes, all my clothes and underwear and this $19 complete patio kit and put it all towards and adcom amp please. Yes, put the adcom on layaway for me until I get the rest of the money from the pawn shop. Oh, and can I cash this unemployment check here? Sir, I'm sorry but we didn't sell you these underwear, they have a goodwill sticker right here... and a spot.

Those are great prices for Adcom. Going to upset the other sales channels. Carver did the same thing in the late 90's. Started selling at Circuit City and then they went under.

Why do these amps have captive power cords?
I was under the impression that they were at least Mid-fi level amps.

I wonder if KMart is going to setup dedicated listening rooms now?

Ya know what else? 90 day satisfaction guarantee and they can be returned to any KMart B&M store. You can't lose.

Just got off the phone with Adcom asking if Sears and KMart are authorized dealers and I was told they are NOT. So I guess if you get them there go for the $50 warranty they offer.

I don't get that. How can an outfit as big as Sears/KMart sell Adcom but not be authorized? Where do they get the product from?
