I just got a pair of Monitor 30s, and one of the woofers cuts in and out. Tapping on the woofer or the cabinet will get it working again. I called Polk CS this morning, and they are sending me a replacement woofer and crossover. I just took the woofer out to see what it looks like in there, and I'm not sure I'll know what to do to replace them when they arrive. Are instructions included? It looked like everything was soldiered. Will I have to do some soldiering for this repair? Thanks.

To answer my own questions, in case anyone in the future needs to know, there aren't any instructions provided. After seeing the replacement woofer and crossover it was pretty obvious what to do though. The only part that had me a little concerned was taking the clip wires from the old crossover off the tweeter. I had to apply quite a bit of pressure to pull it free, and I was worried I would damage the pin on the woofer that the wire from the crossover connects to. It all worked out in the end though, and I have a great sounding speaker. Thanks Polk!

Yea, it's real easy to replace drivers and xovers....no rocket science involved. Great work :D
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
