    George -

If you don't mind, would it be possible to put aside that tuner we were chatting about? It will be a few weeks, so if you have someone else who wants to buy it, don't wait for me. Thanks!

The tuner me and James were talking about is sold.

The PS Audio preamp is also sold. It's not a problem at this end Mike, whatever you have here is not taking up a lot of room.

So the KLH model 6's started it for you? I have a great condition pair of KLH Model 24s with the phono hook up. They do sound good for 30-40 year old speakers!

He already had a pair of those and unloaded them on me like 3 years ago.

They are still sitting in my basement with the 7 other pairs of KLH speakers I have.

BTW, if I remember correctly the 24's are 4-ohm speakers. Pretty important for those looking to drive them with tube amps.

    No HPM 100's?

Big pair of "Sui's" instead. I think the designers of both were shooting for the same thing.

John, Dave asked me for one of those NAD's at least a year ago. I played hard to get for awhile.

    8 ohms I believe.

I need to unload mine too. Given, they match my house perfectly (1961) in color..... but I don't need them.

See, mine don't say Series II on them.

But I could be mistaken. I have 24's and 22's but I was running the 22's as rear channels on an HT made up of KLH 17's and the rear 22's. The 24's were hooked up to a NAD 902 with a Rotel pre-amp and used for the bedroom. The whole reason I got the NAD 902 was because it was 4 OHM stable and could easily drive the 24's.

    That's cool.

I don't really know much about the speakers other than mine use the phono plug instead of binding posts and they seem to sound very good for 40 year old speakers.

    Hey, the Kef's are 4.

Probably the Luxman receiver would be the only thing there with a 4 ohm capability.

George, I have a pair of KEF C20 and they are 8 ohm. Also, the KEF website says the C10 is also 8 ohm, not 4. Just sayin'.

HAD more than one of them. Russman got a 2140 about a week ago. I shipped Dave his today.

I'm convinced they were both here on your last visit, which was in December '08. You said you were coming back in Jan '09.

Yeah I know about the Kef and the 8 ohm. Must've been something else around here recent that was small and 4. Whatever it was, it's history now.

Lies. I was there just before I got myself embroiled in these house shenanigans. I picked up a tuner from you for the GF for her rig.

And yeah, it's been a while but I've been broke and busier than a one armed paper hanger paying off debt and getting in to a house. I saw the NAD 902 in the list and was just hoping because it'd be perfect for the Totem Rainbows I picked up from doro.

Can I stop up some time next week and peruse the turntables? I'll have cash in hand and, like usual, I'll probably walk out with more than I bargained for.

Too bad; looking for a good turntable, too. All the best deals on CP are always so far away from FL!

Don't need one. A simple sturdy Technics of some sort or a vintage "giant killer" piece would be just fine for me. I don't need crazy expensive. I just want a turntable. I don't have one. Well, I do but it's out of commission until I can get it to the guy up in Northeast Philly to refurb the entire console. But I recently inherited a bunch of vinyl and I figured now is as good of a time as any since I will have the space for gear now. If I can get a decent enough turntable for $50, I'll worry about a world beater somewhere down the line.
