I am neither left or right in my views, I believe in the Constitution, and that if it is not adhered to as intended by the founding fathers, the result is chaos, and the loss of freedom.

    Seriously John?
Football, Glen Beck, Huckaby and V for me.

I don't want to debate this stuff. I truly hope that the media is just feeding us more sensationalized **** to get us bent out of shape. If the SEALs popped a guy in the mouth in the line of duty, then this is ridiculous and will be dismissed.

Beck is an entertainer that I watch for laughs. Huckaby on the other hand is pretty close to where I am at.:)

I also watch a bit of Bill Maher from time to time too. But when I want to really settle in for some good times, I grab my copy of An American Life, personally signed by President Ronald Reagan, and listen to the Berlin speach.
In the 1950s, Khrushchev predicted: "We will bury you." But in the West today, we see a free world that has achieved a level of prosperity and well-being unprecedented in all human history. In the Communist world, we see failure, technological backwardness, declining standards of health, even want of the most basic kind--too little food. Even today, the Soviet Union still cannot feed itself. After these four decades, then, there stands before the entire world one great and inescapable conclusion: Freedom leads to prosperity. Freedom replaces the ancient hatreds among the nations with comity and peace. Freedom is the victor.

And now the Soviets themselves may, in a limited way, be coming to understand the importance of freedom. We hear much from Moscow about a new policy of reform and openness. Some political prisoners have been released. Certain foreign news broadcasts are no longer being jammed. Some economic enterprises have been permitted to operate with greater freedom from state control.

Are these the beginnings of profound changes in the Soviet state? Or are they token gestures, intended to raise false hopes in the West, or to strengthen the Soviet system without changing it? We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace.

General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

I look to the future with hope that one day we will wake up and embrace the legacy of freedom, once again instead of appologizing for it...

American capitalism gone with a whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama.

Senator Barney Franks, (deleted inflamatory remarks about his orientation) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

If they can see it so clearly, why can't we?...

As an aside... I appologize for once again getting on a bit of a rant here. I am deeply passionate about this country and those that serve to protect it. I will purposely walk to a USO at the airport to thank service members, and every year take food and goodies to the recruiting offices in town to thank them for their service, and I have been doing so since before 9/11. I was not brought up that way, far from it actually. I refer to my mom as a latter day flower child for good reason and my father was not shy about calling me his baby-killer at a family get-together before I left for boot camp.

The simple truth is that both sides are screwed and I believe that the best place to start fixing things is to go back to the one thing that sets us apart from third-world Banana republics and that is Our founding documents and the Constitution.
