No not really. The key to a good cable any cable not just a sub cable is proper termination and correct wire used for the job. Once this is achieved and there is no interference then the cable trying to be higher end will make no difference.

Use quality cables for best results. Like tires you can get cheap ones but do they handle as good in the rain as tires designed to handle in the rain?

Dynex subwoofer cable used with a PSW505 sub.

I was wondering if getting a higher grade cable was necessary? what do you think... this is what i have now.

I've used Dynex myself, same exact cord you linked there. Picked it up free at bestbuy (bestbuy rewards points), but I found that the AQ Alpha-snake provided tighter bass. I want to say it won't be as important as it would be when choosing IC's between components, but a good/better cable for your sub will make a difference.

I guess it does to a point, like you don't want to have really cheap cables (signal noise/degradation/interference), but there's no real reason to buy $250 cryogenicly frozen exotic cables, especially if they start approaching the price of your components. They don't really add/take away a whole lot, invest more in gear which obviously affects sound alot more.

P.S. Any type of equipment feet you see advertised as being able to make your music sound better is complete bs and a marketing thing. I personally don't buy the whole cable thing, as most studios in the industry (if not all) use a company relatively unknown to audiophiles, but known to audio professionals called Mogami, which makes the wire for most studios, and no, Mogami wire does not cost $10/foot, and is not cryogenicly treated, although they are braided specially. Alot of studios invest more in audio processing gear than cabling, which shows what they think about cables (something that connects A to B) rather than a whole separate thing unto itself, and budget accordingly.
