Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) returns January 17th... I think 24 is well past it's prime and probably will not watch the return. Anyone else?

    Jack's BAAACK!!! Does anyone care?"

Not even the tiniest little bit.

If I cared less, an actual vacume of care would materialize, perhaps even a black hole of not caring would develop and consume all the care you guys have for 24.

    Did I mention that I don't like that show? 24? Did I?

    Good.

    I hope we're clear.

    I don't care.

Never understood why people were more passionate about DISLIKING something than they are about liking it. DO you really think anyone gives a **** that you don't care about a TV show? Really? Just say you don't like it and be done with it.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Noosh, if you stopped watching Glenn Beck, it might improve your social skills quite a bit IMO!

Watched some of the very first release of 24 and loved it, never got a chance to watch any more, so I don't even know what it's about at this point ... sorry ... so, no: I don't really care.

Good for you, IMO. Actually, to clarify my position, I watched 24 on DVD, since I refuse, absolutely refuse, to watch any entertainment program with ten or fifteen minutes of cumulative advertising per hour of viewing. The only thing I watch on TV is the News, the Business News, and HGTV (and any of that is limited too).

Same here. If there's a show that I want to watch...I wait until it's out on DVD. I'd rather be able to watch it when it's convenient for me...be able to pause it to get up and go to the bathroom if I want...lol

I don't even have cable at my house. I used to be able to use some bunny ears and pick up a few local stations, but since the digital switchover, I no longer can.

You could just buy yourself one of those potty chairs, and then you wouldn't even have to pause anything if you needed to go ...

Seriously. Average right now is 18 minutes of ads for an hour show, I think (and about 8 minutes for a half-hour show). So a "one-hour" show is really 42 minutes of show.

Get a DVR. The only time I see ads is during sports, and even those I'll time delay sometimes.

Even with a DVR, I still don't like watching shows and having to skip forward through the commercials, (other than news and stuff, for which I usually pause the live feed for about ten minutes before watching, while I fix an espresso or glass of wine ... depending on what time of day it is: wine in the morning for breakfast, espresso in the evening so that I don't fall asleep before bedtime ... he he he!). I still prefer to just rent the DVD and watch it without having to skip ahead at all. Thank God for Netflix/Blockbuster, if you ask me!

Yeah, I've been watching 24 for quite a few years and I must admit, they're starting to look pretty much the same. Different people, different context, but tons of people get shot, Jack almost die / should die / is going to die etc., blah, blah, blah.

I'll check it out this season, but don't think I'll stick w/it.
