I *just* bought the polk LSiC. I had a question about how the speaker should sound. I noticed that only the right driver is producing sound. Is this normal, or do I have a 'bad' left driver?

Thanks in advance for any help. I thought I would ask people who may have the speaker first.

If any more details are needed please let me know.

Thanks again.

Is the tweeter not even producing sound? The LSiC is a 2 and 1/2 way design. The driver on the left produces more of the lower frequencies, and the driver on the right is more for mid-range frequencies. Double check it with a full range source and see if you can hear the lower frequencies coming from the left driver.

You are correct. After settling down and listening better I realized that there was sound coming out of the left driver, just not the 'same' sound.

I also gave a call to the 1800 number where I was informed that this was due to the cascading design.

    All makes sense to me.

    Thanks!

No problem. Congrats on the purchase of a superb center channel speaker, and welcome to the forums! :)
