This is a PrintScreen of a scene on my Star Trek 2009 Blu-ray. Can you find the object that doesn't belong? No, I did not photoshop that object in there.

Unfortunately, I can.
When I first looked at that screen shot, I thought noooooooooo, it can't be....they couldn't have.
But then I found another screen shot from ST 2009 at the blu-ray.com website and it had unmistakable evidence of the same "design modification".
The object that does not belong is the front edge of the Enterprise's saucer section that is obcuring the lower third of the view screen image. When I saw the screen shot in the first post, I thought it looked sort of like the front edge of the saucer section, but, since the image was kind of blurred, I thought (hoped) that it was just some object running past the ship.
The screen shot below solved the mystery and, indeed, this Enterprise flies around with the lower third of its main view screen obscured by the front of the main saucer section.
The main bridge screens of the ships in the canonical-universe Star Trek could be rendered transparent, but standard operating procedure was for the straight ahead view to come from optical sensors at the front edge of the saucer section. Of course, there were also optical sensors placed all about the exterior of the ships so that images could be received of any point above, below, beside, front or behind.;)

47:39 - 47:41. It's the scene right after the Enterprise ducks under the debris of a large, broken saucer and the left naucelle gets skinned. -
These are too funny! I wonder if good ol' George Lucas will try to file a suit for copyright infringement. The dirty bastage!
I have always wanted to crush that coward Kirk...Perhaps NOW will be my chance. -
