Tomorrow... It COMES!!

Well tomorrow is the day I have been waiting for. Some people might not think of this as being big but I do. Tomorrow I accept shipment of my Pioneer Elite VSX-56TXi and I can not wait one more second! I see this as a huge upgrade for me and my system. Allowing me to upgrade to external amps and have a lot more control over my system. I will post pics and all tomorrow when it gets here.

    Well my first one was a crummy yamaha than a okay pioneer vsx-d514 receiver but does not have much of anything. Matter of fact neither had any really nice features. Man this is going to be like going from a Geo to a Ferrari :eek:

    That's a nice piece...a true upgrade. I just noticed that we have a lot of Jersey boys in this thread....I grew up on the Pa. border.....also spent a year in Madison, N.J. about a decade ago...

    LOL ya I think a lot of Jersey guys enjoy their audio! LOL this is absolute torte it is a little more than an hour from me and I can not do anything. It is out on the truck for delivery! th_excited.gif

    Thanks man, I just got done cleaning the place up a bit getting it ready. But this is worse than torture itself no man should have to wait like this. Tomorrow I plan on grabbing a nice dvd player so I can enjoy some star wars movies like they should be heard. All I have to do now is wait for BF to grab a 40 inch tv and I am pretty well set for now. JUST GET HERE!!!!! lol

    Congrats on the purchase. I had my early Christmas last week when I got my Onkyo TX-NR1007, Rock Band 2, Modern Warfare 2, Monitor 30s to use as height channels, and 3 Blu-rays during a 3-day period.

    Well as I calm down a little and listen to a eagles concert I can say a few things. First is that I will probably be tuning this and figuring out what does what in the fallowing days. The reason I say that is because some things are not right and I am slowly understanding different things. This thing has tons of power just turning it up you know it is a real receiver. It just keeps giving and giving without bottoming out or losing power. Bass is one thing I have to also figure out the sub does not seem to get the bass it use to but I will say my towers are putting out a lot more bass than they use to. That is because of the cut off freq on my previous reviver could only go to 100hrz. The on screen settings is simply cool and a lot easier to navigate. I do have to go borrow my neighbors setup mic as this one did not come with one. "already knew that" The usb audio feature is pretty cool my mac immediately noticed and installed the drivers it needed. I will say that this is pretty much a early Christmas! If anyone wants to help me out with the few little speed bumps I am having feel free too.

    You need to get that mic and run the MCACC (or wtf ever it is) setup routines. I have heard it is pretty good. Make sure you have your speakers and furniture where you want it as all of that stuff makes a difference. Good luck!

    I borrowed my neighbors mic that came with his onkyo. Did pretty well, now tomorrow when everyone is gone I will do it again. I did have to drop off the rears quite a bit they where pretty loud. I will try to get the one that it is suppose to have but not sure if it will make a difference.
