Should the tweeters move or vibrate during use? Mine do not seem to do either. I've tried to put me ear up tp them, and I don't think I hear anything. If I replace them, should I use the same ones? I guess they are SL3000's, right? Is there a upgrade I could go to?

The SL3000 is no longer available, Polk sells the much improved RD0198-1 as the drop in replacement.

That said, you might want to check if your polyswitches have gone bad before buying new tweeters.

yep on the crossover should be a little yellow or blue disk with two wires coming out of it. these are safety for your tweets and when they get old they trip at low volume or go out altogether. simply connect the two legs together with a piece of wire and see if they come on. if they do when you jump them then they're bad. you can remove them or get some new ones and replace them. I'm sure others will chime in with other options.

You can also pull the "bad tweeter" and read across the terminal to see if it is good, or put the "bad tweeter" in the good tweeters cabinet.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
