My iPhone 3g does not play when connected to the dock of my isonic es2. I was unable to find a dock adapter that is for the 3g in the box. It will play intermittently if I force it forward. My ipod 5g video played wonderfully however it is old and has stopped working. I really don't want to buy the ipod classic as I use the iphone now. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I think I found my answer. I believe that I need to order the universal iphone adapter pack from Apple for $9.00.

drwoolsey,
You are indeed correct, the IES2 does not include a docking adapter for the Iphone 3g/3gs, so the adapter pack is needed when using the Iphone 3g/3gs with the IES2. NOTE: you must have firmware version 1.35 installed in the IES2 for proper compatiblilty with the Iphone 3g/3gs. See instructons below on checking the firmware version on the IES2.
How to check the current firmware version
You can check the current version of firmware installed on your I-Sonic ES2 by following these simple steps:
1.Place the I-Sonic ES2 into standby mode. If the unit is on, press the power button to return to standby.
2.Press and hold the Source button on the unit
3.While holding the Source button; Press the power button. The I-Sonic ES2 will come on and display a screeen that says "VERSION" then provide a list of "System Info". The Firmware version can be found under the heading "Firmware Package: #.##" This screen will disappper after 5 seconds.
