I can't watch those older films, there just way to cheesy! Bring on the remakes.

I agree Keiko. Classics, no doubt. But, with todays visual and sound effects it's just too difficult to watch older films like these in the HT.

I love all of the old Ray Harryhausen stuff. I have a lot of them....they are just cool IMO.

I heard this trailer described as "if 300 were an Axe Body Spray commercial." Seems about right.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Awesome--That was one of my fav movies as a kid and still is--
This is the first I heard of the remake and now I'm siked. Def reminiscent of 300 styling.

Wow... I'd kinda' heard they were redoing this, but the trailer seems to have come completely out of left field. I'm psyched now!

    OMG

Now, if there ever was a movie worth remaking, it would be Clash of the Titans. I watched the trailer prior to reading Bobman's quote above, so I was thinking to myself "I hope the cheesy music and choppy action is just the trailer and not really suggestive of the movie."

After reading Bobman's post, I think I'll pass on this. I'm of the minority that hated 300.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

I actually liked 300 - it was just so interesting and different from a stylistic point of view so I could enjoy that.

This, on the other hand, appears to take all the worst aspects of that movie and then add in even more ridiculousness. The directory, Louis Leterrier, was the director of the Transporter 2 and the Incredible Hulk, that's all I need to know to know this will be pretty awful.

I'll bet he looks real cool in the new movie. I think I caught a glimpse of him in the trailer. He is the biggest and badest creature in Clash of the Titans.

Transporter 2 was just okay, but The Incredible Hulk was freakin' awesome! Now that I know he's doing it, I'm there opening weekend!

I think this has a whole boat load of potential. The way theyve mastered special FX these days and the potential this story has for sheer kickassedness we could be in for good things. I cant wait to see the Kraken.

I thought this was a pretty good movie... it wasn't ground breaking in any area, but I really enjoyed it. I think the picture on BD will be amazing... and some of the creatures were pretty sick!

Worth the $10 I spent... will probably own once it hits the discount bins.

    7 outta 10.

Don't go in expecting award winning dialogue :) If you can turn off the mind for a great mythological story, you will be fine...

It wasn't as good as I had hoped, but it wasn't bad in any way either.

    Enjoy!

I read that the upconversion process was rushed in only about 10 weeks to try and ride the Avatar hype. People even worry that the poor upconversion might sour people to 3d in general if too many movies come out at this level of quality.

Since they raised 3d ticket prices in many places and the quality is supposed to be great in 2d, I'd say stay clear of the 3d version.
