Anyone have any experience with this thing? I normally don't bother with changers like this, but it would be nice to not have to get up constantly to change the cd, since unfortunately a lot of the bands that i like seem to be incapable of putting out an entire cd of good tracks.

If the sound quality is good on this unit, then i may go ahead and pick one up. One just showed up locally for $150 in good shape with some goodies thrown in that i could sell to get at least $50 back out of it.

I currently have a Sony 300cd changer that i've used in the past, but it sounds like crap unless i use the optical output, which means i can't use it in my 2-channel setup right now, so i haven't used it in about a year.

I can't seem to find any info on this unit on Pioneer's website.

It IS gorgeous, though.

I am very bias, I just don’t like collecting old stuff. With today’s technology to have mp3 or even better sources to play thousands of songs, I would just save my money and buy something with more of today’s technology.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear, I am sure that this unit is very nice and very capable but it would not be for me. I like the minimalist approach so even buying something that can just plug in the back that can give me mp3 or better sound quality will be better than having a cd player that can hold 50-100 cd’s
    Current HT setup
    Mains: B&W 804s
    Center: Polk CSi5
    Surround: Polk FXi3
    Sub: Velodyne DLS-3750R
    Receiver: Pioneer SC-07
    Amplifier: Sunfire TGA5200
    TV: Sony KDS60A2020
    DBP: Sony DBP-S350
    CDP: Pioneer DV-48AV
    Interconnect cables: SignalCable analog II
speaker cables: SignalCable Ultra Speaker Cables Bi-wire

Below is the link for the Owners Manual. If the newer cousin to this unit is any indication of sound quality, I would rate it a notch above average.

I own one and it just sits in my basement in the box wit the manual , remote and such. I have no desire to sell it to anyone.

yes it's a fantastic sounding player and very good looking and the last of the great side panels on the Elite line. I miss that actually.

I have one and I love it. It plays all of my dirty scratched up old CDs perfectly and sounds excellent. The change mechanism is a little noisy, but I would never sell mine. Gotta love the Elite styling.
