GM is not making any attempt to revive the Firebird. Pontiac is done.

Both of these cars are just aftermarket conversions of 2010 Camaros. There are no plans for GM to ever manufacture them.

I think it has SOME similarities.

Looks nothing alike to me...just my opinion...both of those cars are hot!

If you want similarities, look at all the **** door wedges on the market.

I guess im showing my age but those cars are very nostalgic. NICE!

I vote ugly. Same for Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, etc. I don't want a new car that looks like an old car. It's a passing fad, IMO, and won't age well the second time around.

The original '79 Trans Am with a Pontiac 400 and four-wheel disc brakes, manual four speed was a killer machine.....

When I saw this pic I too was reminded of the original. My cousin showed up in the above mentioned '79 in black but he put on Centerline wheels, BF Goodrich wide meats all around with the Firebird decal removed. What an F-in car that was......

You youngsters simply can't understand what they were back then. Imagine your most bad ****, killer machine today (production model) and this was it.....

Cops used to pull us over just to check it out and tell us they wanted one just like it. Not to mention the chick magnetism factor...

Good times for a couple of 17 year old kids....

The new one looks pretty cool to me. ****..... I'm getting old...

Yeah, had one of those, but only had I think 205 hp. The '89 had that monster engine from the Buick Grand National that put out I think 330 hp. That Buick was bad ****,then they came out with an even more high perf. model.

I agree, I have talked to at least 4 people that have bought the challenger and have it stored in the garage now. I just laughed at them, they are not going to increase in value even if gm goes under.
