I make my own 'green' butter from organic milk, from organic cows, that eat organic grass, that exaust organic gasses (which doesn't damage the Ozone layer).

The butter is green, but it makes for the best darn Irish Rum cake out there.

I might try some soy butter next or Tofu cake.

I have an ~M~ cake that was on sale at Cake Shack for $9. It retails for $899, but Big Bakery sells them for $89.99. Makes you wonder what kinda ingredients they use if the can sell an $899 cake for $9:confused:

I have been doing some research and have found out that the cryogenic cake has the same density, calories, and mass of brownies. They also have nearly all the same ingredients. Now try to tell me that cryogenic cake tastes different than brownies:rolleyes:

Not a single damn cup cake on the list...
Yeah, yeah... I know; 'cupcake is cake 'cept smaller'....

But that ain't true... and all y'all know it.

I like my cake a little shorter and where you have to undress it to eat it... And you can pile sprinkles and **** on it... And you can feel like a monster and eat two or three whole ones... Now, I'm sure some of you guys can eat a few full-sized cakes, but I can't.

My Great-Aunt used to make caramel cake on a wood stove. I'm talking burning the sugar for the frosting, home made butter and all. There would be a dozen 1/2 thick layers. Talk about some good eatin. They don't make them like that anymore.

this one is actually pretty good.. and colorful. and it has a baby inside too

it's a Mardi Gras king cake.

but my fave cake has to be a red velvet cake. the color is amazing, it uses chocolate, and the cream cheese frosting is to die for. :D:D

Just saw a pound cake episode of Alton Brown's Good Eats, the other day--Something about it was called Pound cake because it takes a pound of eggs, a pound of sugar, and pound of flour and a pound of butter--or something like that.

... home made butter and all.....

I make my own butter

Seriously though, take some heavy cream put some in a rubbermaid or ziploc container (with a good lid), and just shake the crap out of it for 5 minutes.
It gets thicker and thicker, to the point where you almost can't move it anymore, then at some point the buttermilk starts to separate, and you're left with buttermilk and butter. I couldn't belive it the first time I did it. Add a little salt and you gots yourself some homemade butter.
Next time I'm going to try adding the salt to the cream first.
    Good stuff-esp on some Saltines.

Next time I make a cake from scratch, which is about 98% of the time, I'm making the butter that way too.
