This thread is about cake.
What kind of cake do you like?

If you don't like cake at all, please refrain from posting in this thread.
I don't care if you like pie better than cake. This thread is about cake. Pure and simple.
Not bikes, not wires, not audio, not your momma.

And in case you need it bigger:
It's about CAKE

I like the red velvet cake with a really good thick weighty frosting on it! My grandma used to make a german choclate cake where you had to let the milk sour prior to making it ........ I wish I could remember how to make it!

Pie and cake taste the same. They have very similar ingredients, and measure at nearly the same amount of calories. Don't let others try and tell you that cake is better than pie or pie is better than cake. J___k and R____r R_____l are desert experts and in a blind ABX test 9 out of 10 people couldn't tell the difference.

Edit: Cheese cake is more a pie than a cake. Think about it.

I totally disagree that cake and pie taste the same. Texture has a lot to do with how our taste buds interpret flavor. I don't usually have gushy filling squirting out of the middle of my cake. A nice fluffy cake also mixes better with french vanilla ice cream when you take your spoon and mash and mix them all together.

I think your ABX double blind triple shot of tequila testing methodology is completely flawed and the results are irrelevant. Please turn in your audiophile card as you leave the forum. Cake is not pie. Of that I am sure. My new cables did not improve the taste of either or make them more similar.

Well you can justify your reasons all you want, but cake and pie taste the same. Jose has nothing to do with facts.

We need double blind tests to see if one can tell the difference between:

Cakes made with regular flour and gluten free flour...

Cakes made with sugar and cakes made with artificial sweetener...

Cakes make with butter and cakes made with margarine...

    Ingredients are ingredients....right?

It doesn't matter. If you take a pot of coffee and pour some in a fancy cup, and an ugly cup most people would say the coffee in the fancy cup taste better. Save your money and get the cheap cake or pie. It makes no difference. Ingredients don't matter.
