How do you mount your center channel(above TV). Do you tilt down the speaker? I am using this mount. http://www.buy.com/prod/peerless-pm600-multi-mount-vcr-dvd-wall-mount-kit-45-lb-peerless-pm600/q/loc/111/202070144.html

but right now the speaker is not tilted.

How do you mount yours? Do you tilt it down to your ears level?

It would work best if it was pointed towards ear level.

I just have my center channel sitting on top of my TV, but that's not an option for everyone.

I'd like to see how you mounted your center on that bracket. How about a pic?

The best thing to do like said above is to tilt your center so it fires at your ear level. Pointed at the listening area if you will. if that bracket is above or below your display, you can go to Home Depot and get rubber door stops , the old fashion kind. This will give you an angle up or down depending on what you need.

At present time I have my center channel resting on top of my tv. I have a single rubber door stop underneath the leveling foot that come out of the back of my center channels on wall bracket. It for placing on a table. The leveling foot is not long enough to get the angle I need so I positioned the Door stop to achieve the angle. I can snap a pic for you. It might not apply to your situation so I'll wait to see if you wanna see.

I only have about 6"-8" from the top of my center channel to the ceiling. I almost have to point it down at my ears. (It would be way above my head when standing if I didn't.)

It is sitting on a shelf I mounted across the corner above my TV.

There you go. Right now, I put Styrofoam to tilt the angle down.

If the angle is pointing at your listening area Your good. if not the Door stops work excellent.

I had this last one but the CS400I is still too heavy to go on top of the TV. I made a little stand and it's now underneath the TV pointed up towards ear level.

I used to use the same shelf that Ken linked to in Post #7. I had my CSi5 on it. Because it had the lip, I didn't have to worry about it sliding fwd off the shelf. But as you may see in the pic the TV has to have some kind of back sticking out. I have a Rear projection (and its a pretty steep angle like in the pic).
At some point I moved the speaker to the shelf above the TV in my entertainment center (and eventually upgraded to the CSIa6) and had to increase the angle even more.

Whatever you do, that shelf you have is kinda short, so if you tilt any more you risk the speaker sliding forward (and maybe off-even if its shelf length is adjustable). I have a pretty good angle on my CSiA6, so to prevent it from slipping forward, I put two rubber feet under the front of the speaker, giving it a grip essentially which prevents it from sliding.

regarding slipping, I can adjust the size of the mount. I can pull it a lot more than in the picture.
