Anything by Slayer brings an acidic lump to my throat and a sulphuric tear to my eye.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Hearing Slayer makes me cry too, however for a completely different reason than the topic of this thread

George Strait: "Love Without End, Amen"
Album: It's on several, just go find it
    Format: Who cares?
    Love Without End, Amen

I got sent home from school one day with a shiner on my eye
Fightin' was against the rules and it didn't matter why
When dad got home I told that story just like I'd rehearsed
Then stood there on those tremblin' knees and waited for the worst

    And he said...

Let me tell you a secret about a father's love
A secret that my daddy said was just between us
He said daddies don't just love their children every now and then
It's a love without end, amen
It's a love without end, amen

When I became a father in the spring of '81
There was no doubt that stubborn boy was just like my father's son
And when I thought my patience had been tested to the end
I took my daddy's secret and passed it on to him

    I said...

Let me tell you a secret about a father's love
A secret that my daddy said was just between us
He said daddies don't just love their children every now and then
It's a love without end, amen
It's a love without end, amen

Last night I dreamed I'd died and stood outside those pearly gates
When suddenly I realized there must be some mistake
If they know half the things I've done, they'll never let me in
Then somewhere from the other side, I heard these words again

    And they said...

Let me tell you a secret about a father's love
A secret that my daddy said was just between us
He said daddies don't just love their children every now and then
It's a love without end, amen
It's a love without end, amen

    Gets me every time.

I guess I was lucky all 6 caps didndt go at once but two were plenty enough to get my attention, I heard this hissing noise and then the music died followed by the sound of acid sizzling on the amp and a huge cloud of acrid smoke, kinda reminded me of pepper spray but harder to get away from. The real crying began when I got the bill to replace all 6 caps :p

The Wreck of the Edmunds Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot is a beautifully haunting song that hits home for me(although I was only 6 when it happened). It is about a laker ship that went down in Lake Superior in 75'. I had a cousin on the ship and a couple of my friends lost their fathers. The last place this ship was docked is about 1.5 miles from where I am right now.

This song will make me tear up sometimes...
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

Getting emotional from music is really a frame of mind for me....the place, the time, and the mood all come together when you don't really expect it.

The first time music put tears to my eyes was about 3 or 4 years ago in Waterbury, Connecticut where David Sanborn and Chris Botti were playing. We were seated in the very front row and Botti was playing right to us, I think it was Cinema Paradiso, and that's when it hit me....the music was so beautiful, so perfect......

The second time I was just sitting at home watching Sarah Brightmans Live in Vienna concert...I'm alone, just chilling, enjoying the show when the song Sanvean comes on. Well, lets just say that the voice and the orchestra and the visuals were all perfect...the world just faded away for a few minutes and I was just completely immersed in the music.

    So...

I plugged my amp into my front speakers for the first time tonight. I put on Brahms Requiem, soprano solo, and I had a tear. I've never heard it so beautiful. I also have the luxury of personal experience with the music. When I hear a piece I have performed and have a personal connection with, I can get emotional. Just listening to random music, not usually.

Fact: You know a Husky's howl can be heard as far as 10miles away?

Just glad my pit is a lazy **** and she sleeps through the loud music! In fact, she's passed the hell out right now on her new bed I got her today with Enigma playing.

My friend has a pair of'em in his basement. Going over to his place later to check something out. Those things have some really nice bass to them too. I'm already looking to sell my sub to get something a bit more 'musical'....I'm addicted to fast-accurate-tight bass :D

There's a few that almost always make me tear up... Little Sister by Jewel, Great Gig in the Sky by Pink Floyd, and ever since seeing the movie "Rules of Attraction", Can't Live by Gilbert O'Sullivan reminds me of the cinematic death scene that has affected me most out of all that I have seen. It was really hard to watch, and I'm pretty jaded.

The first time I heard Sarah Mclachlan's song Angel on my Klipsch Cornwalls with amplification that was empathetic to them (a Decware Zen SE-84B SE EL84 amp, in this particular case) my eyes did well with tears. It is a beautiful and moving song... and the speakers (which I'd paid real money for, by my own cheapskate standards) had sounded absolutely awful with the McInstosh MC-2100 soiled state amp they came bundled with -- but my oh my did they sound real with the little Steve Deckert amp by comparison.
