I've heard good things about this game. Anyone played it yet and have some thoughts on it? I'm more interested in the PC version, but the game itself doesn't change between systems, so anyone is welcome to post!

    It's a good shooter with alot of "levels" and areas. Tons of weapons to find and buy. The only Con I have really found is the RPG element is not very deep. But it's still there and adds more to the game than just being a plain old shooter.

    Is anyone playing on Xbox Live? We should join up for some Co-op sometime. PM me on here or something.

    Like Solumnus said. I'm playing on the 360, and you shouldn't expect the story side of the RPG to match up to other RPGs. Still, the Diablo-like loot drops have kept me playing it pretty much every night since it came out. I'm only like level 25 right now, mostly from playing with friends, but I see me coming back to this game for quite some time... possibly even after Modern Warfare 2 drops.

    Great game, no....its an excellent game. Love the cartoonish gloss over. If i had a phrase to describe this game I would call it BioShock meets Fallout.

    This game is like crack. I've stayed up until at least 1 A.M. playing it pretty much every night since it came out... which is killing me at work. But it's WORTH IT! :D

    Just played a bit last night, got up to level 8. So far it's decently fun! I decided to start out as the sniper, as that's my playstyle (cheap shots!), and I haven't gotten bored yet.

    Having to work your way through those "dog" things time and time again as you go through the levels is more than a little tedious, but it definately has the RPG elements happening.

    Don't worry... If you level up a bit more, those Skags become far more than just tedious. Once you start seeing "Badass Fire Skags", they're a little more fun to fight. I'm a level 27 soldier right now, with a focus on party support (i.e. medic and stat).

    Right now i'm playing a "cracked" version, so it's single-player for me.

    I always download cracked versions of games so I can try them before I go out and spend money on them. I never know if i'm going to hate or love a game based on the tv commercials or gameplay footage.

    I wish the hey-days of game demo's would come back...

    So does anyone have it on the PC? I usually do games like this on the PC, wondering how this runs on the PC - hardware is not a problem for me.

    Yep sometimes its hard to put that crack pipe down...:D

    Yeah, I ONLY do PC games. No console for me, although there are games that I wouldn't mind playing on the console (GoW II, Assassin's Creed 2, etc).

    I've got a Q6600 (or something like that, i forget) which is a quad-core 2.7ghz, 4GB of ram, and an ATI 4870. Game runs completely smooth with no lag or slowdowns. Very smooth.

    Yeah, that's what keeps happening to me. Even when I get tired and know I should be going to sleep so I can get up for work the next morning, I think, "Okay, just one more quest" or "I'm really close to leveling up." CRACK, CRACK, CRACK!

    So, I finally got out of the Arid Badlands. This game is rad. The audio was not working right with the ps3 copy I rented. I took it back and eventually will end up getting the 360 version.

    I just got my first alien weapon the night before last (when I hit level 28). I still find myself falling back on the combat rifles more, but that sucker does pack a wallop! :D

    I use the sniper and shotty almost religiously. If i'm ever low on sniper bullets, i'll whip out my uber-pistol and start pistol-sniping!

    Yeah, but what class are you playing? I'm a soldier, and I can't stand the shotgun. Been using sniper, combat rifle and pistol.

    Oh, by the way, the first DLC for it comes out on the 24th. They're adding zombies and wereskags! WHEE!

    That brief bit of spam aside, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned add-on for Borderlands is outstanding and is definitely worth the $10. Some of the areas are just repurposed bits of existing areas with new lighting, but the new enemies and bits of comedy make it worth the purchase. This game is why I'm only like level 7 on Modern Warfare 2 right now. Can't stop playing it!

    Yes I know I'm late on getting this but two nights in, I'm stoked over this game. So much fun. Great graphics. Fun overall game. Love it!!
