UFC 104, a disgrace this time

One has to wonder if MMA is going the same way as boxing is, you can't trust the judges anymore. Plenty of fights in the past that support that but tonight was the worst of them all. As much I like Machida tonights decision was not right.

Even Dana White isn't a fan of the judges....

Ah well. I've seen bad calls for years. It happens, i try not to get mad about it. I don't believe that Shogun is truly championship belt material, but i do agree that he should have had that fight.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I look at it this way, if you leave it up to the judges then you really didn't win that fight. Points control contact take downs what ever , now it's some ones opinion who won.

They both lost that fight. Rematch I say.

What a night of lame fights.

Judges will always be a subjective thing. My friend Ken and I were watching the fight closely.....and I remember being conflicted as to how round 1 and 2 went. Machida was landing blows too, just not as easily seen and apparent as Hua........and Hua's kick counters were evil......which will make many lay persons give Hua 1 and 2, but it was truly closer than it looked.

I gave Machida round 3 as did my friend Ken

4 and 5, well...even the most corrupt judge couldnt give those to anyone but Hua.

When your the champ, you always have the edge if it goes to the judges, it's the nature of the game. I'm not going to lie and say I wasnt a little taken aback at the decision, but looking at it objectively I see how it happened and it really wasnt about being "dirty" like what plagues boxing. MMA is alot harder to score than boxing (and also alot more subjective to a degree.

long story short, al the judges gave Machida 1, 2, and 3.....and Hua 4 and 5.

there is a reason why fighters hate to go to the scorecards.

From a technical standpoint, I liked the fight. could have had more action, but these were 2 fighters with very different styles that had alot of respect for each other. Machida always sizes a fighter early, gets his timing, then beats his as senseless.....thats DID NOT work with Hua (who fought a great fight against Machida)

a rematch is a given. ad I think the Rematch will be more exciting, because you know Hua will push the action more not wanting a repeat of what happened yesterday.

Rua - Machida was still a great fight, it's just the bad decision that sucked. Round 3 was Machida's but I don't see anyone giving him more than that. Should have been 49-46 for Rua. I might have to rewatch but I don't see how all judges could have given Machida rounds 1 and 2. Maybe one but even that is a stretch.

Dana White has alread said that the next fight these 2 have will be a rematch.

I didn't get to see last nights fight, but I am a believer in the Champ shouldn't lose his belt in a close 5 round decision. The contender should have to truely take it. I think Rampage should have retained his belt in the 5 round fight with Forrest as well.

He's been getting his **** kicked. He got ko'd in 4 of his last 5 fights i think. He was with affliction and even before they folded, they dropped his contract because he sucked so bad. there were rumors that he was going to try his hand at boxing.

But i just don't understand it. Fundamentally, i dont' really see anything straight up WEAK about him, and his striking is still ridiculous looking. Nobody that big should be able to move and punch that fast and hard.

The only huge fault that i can find with him is that the guillotine just seems to not be in his arsenal.

I guess his mind is just done.
