I love these speakers .i have had them since new. Perfect condition, have thought about selling them but since i joined the forum and read all the imformation about all the polk speakers,im like a kid again with them.

Where do you send your crossovers for updates . No one around me works on stereo equipment. I live in a small town of 550 people.

Run a different SS amp or get a tube amp and they won't scream anymore.Political Correctness'.........defined

I read in some other posts with the 1.2tls and 2.3tls where they resealed the cabinets and installed accoustical matting .think this is worthwhile.

i have not heard many speakers image as well as sda's, and i've had many.

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Still thinking of either selling or updating my 3.1s. My problem is i love the music, but i have no knowledge of what i would be doing to update them.

I would recommend the upgrade. Just do it in steps. Start with the RDO tweets, if you like what you hear, send Ben your X-over and let him work his magic with new caps and resistors. Then you could step up to a better IC.
My 3.1's have received all of those upgrades (Ricardo did all the work!) and I am very happy with the results.

Made my mind up ,i will keep my 3.1s. There like brand new,so now i need to update them to even better sound .i need the pro to get with me with prices and where to send my parts for redo. Also do you think i need to seal inside of cabs, and install accoustical matting while im getting my upgrades? This is something i think i could do correctly.

A lot of people are happy with adcom. Get the upgrades, break in the speakers, and then go from there. There is always better equipment, just depends how deep your pockets are.
