Can anyone tell me where I can get a BDP-100 drive that's in my Sony BDP-S2000ES blu ray player?
It's slowly stopped playing disc's,blu and or CD disc's.
By the way,I can't do a firmware update either ,because it won't play or read those either.
Thanks

ES machines carry a 5yr warranty so I would send it in for service. Contact Sony and go from there. I would not buy a single part if the machine is under warranty for 5 yrs. See warranty card here

What is wrong with warranty work? Did you steal it?

Kidding aside. I had a Sony 3100ES DVD player break after 1 month. I sent it into to Sony for repair, and they would not honor the warranty. They said I had done an unauthorized repair on it, which was BS. I bought it new from Crutchfield, but there was no way I could convince them of that. Anyway, Crutchfield replaced it after I explained what was happening, but I always wondered if Crutchfield would have been so nice if 4 years had gone by before it broke.

I think they would have. I had a $600 JVC VCR I bought from Crutchfield that came with a two year warranty. I had it repaired twice under warranty the second year, sent it in to Crutchfield and they took care of it both times. It then broke again just out of warranty. Crutchfield gave me a full refund in the form of a store credit.

I had a sony ES receiver that had issues, they gave me an advance exchange under warranty, the second time i needed a switch they upgraded me to the next model year. their ES warranty is pretty good, although you might have to be persistent on the phone and try to talk to level 2 or 3 support.

if the player has an ethernet port, consider direct download fw update, thats how i update my bdp-350
