    In my comparison (Have listened to more music, and a few reference movie scenes), I think the HK blows the Onkyo I had out of the water. It's 75 watts DESTROYS Onkyo 606's 90 wpc. For music, it is a HUGE improvement. I put on The Dark Knight last night just to watch the beginning, and my daughter started to scream, she was so scared. This isn't something to brag about of course, I stopped it right away...but it was so lifelike. I can see what you mean by the features. The HK 354 has 3 HDMI inputs, where many simililarly priced AVR's may have 4 or 5. I think they may be behind in that category, but the build of the AVR is super solid, it looks sexy as hell, came with an Ipod dock (Still prefer CD's, but when I can't find what I'm looking for, the IPod still sounds GREAT), and it's got a more musical sound that the Onkyo I heard. I haven't done side by side comparisons, but I've heard some decent AVR's in my search - Denon 2310, 1910, Pioneer Elite VSX 21, 23, SC-05, SC-07. Although some are higher quality, I am VERY happy with my purchase.

    Congrats Py. You think it sounds good now, just wait till you hook up the separate amp!
