Do Monitor 70's come with feet attached?

I'm looking at buying a couple of Monitor 70's, but I read somewhere that they come with the ugly plastic silver feet attached and can't be removed. Does anyone who owns these know the answer?I listen to my big screen tv from a padded barstool, which leaves my ear approx 5 feet from the ground(60 inches). On game days, we have a bunch of people standing around as well, so their ears are between 68" and 72" from the floor. Given that the Monitor 70's are 42" high and the tweeter appears to be 9" from the top of the tower, that puts the optimum listening level at 33" if they're standing on the floor. I need the optimal listening level up much higher because of the bar stools, so 60" subtract 33" equals 27 inches , which means I need to raise the towers 27", so they sound good at 5 ft. above the floor, where my ears are seated. Currently I have my towers mounted on 24" stands and the sound is pretty good. So, can someone please answer my main question? Do the feet on the monitor 70's come off without any noticeable cosmetic damage, so I can mount them on stands to raise them to the level I want? Thanks

I have the 70's, but have never looked to see if the feet are removable. I'll have to look and see.

I have the 60's and I was wondering if speaker spikes can be used on the Monitor series to stabilize the speakers.
