    Old thread yes I know.

Got my 'maggie mates' in today, and well they really did work out the way they claimed to work. Instead of just a hi-pass filter that cuts off everything from a certain frequency level and below, it sounds as if the volume rolls off on the deeper bass notes instead of just being cut out completely. I was able to turn it up much higher today and hear them without my sub, the midrange sounds even cleaner at higher volumes while the highs remain untouched. Definitely a nice add-on if you want a better blend with your subwoofer.

Currently borrowing a DSW MicroPro 1000 that I'm pairing up with the Maggies...can't wait to really hear how things sound once I've got things dialed in :D

    Hey Freddy,

I'm considering a pair of Maggie Mates for my SMGa's. I'm using a Mirage PS12-180 powered sub that I've had forever. This sub sounds GREAT for HT and good with the Maggies for music. It has both hi and lo level inputs/outputs. I'm not going to be upgrading my sub for a while and hope the maggie mates will help me through the wait for a new sub.

Can you show me or explain how the maggie mates are set up/work? How do you hook them up, etc.?

    Thanks.
