Are all the drivers in good condition? Polk doesn't support these drivers anymore, so if one is bad it's hard to find a replacement.

Someone should definitely jump on this center channel. It's one hell of a CC, especially if you're looking for something to closely match your SDA's if you're using them in your HT setup. I ran mine with SDA 1C's and they matched perfectly.

Running off my AVR (100wpc high-current....which we all know isn't really 100) and it sounded nice and clean, but add an external amplifier to this (up to 250w) and it'll definitely rock you!

    Free bump :D

$100 shipped is a great price. I hope he doesn't lower the price any more. As mentioned it is a great center speaker for medium to large SDA's.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

Damn, man, your gonna mess me up when I go to off mine! Your selling yourself short, man. That speaker is worth twice that...

It is THE center if you want a LS based system, as in LS90's or LS50's.

After several weeks of trying to resolve this privately, I have gotten nowhere.

The speaker came to me HORRIBLY packaged. It was in a McDonalds coffee cup box that was very thin walled as it was designed for holding a couple of pounds of evenly distributed weight. The only packing materials used was a small box folded into a triangle and stuffed into the larger box.

The grill was broken off of the speaker at every mount point and every stud was jammed into the speaker. The corners of the speaker are bashed in some. There are signs of damage from the grill banging against the speaker during shipping. There are scratches and dents that were not present when it was posted for sale.

    Here are some visuals:

    The box:
    yakkx5c
    yeuh3bo
    yb8cmrj
    yajyv42
    yduj72s
    yewgorz
    ybtwo6t

    The "Packing Materials":
    y9wpga7

    The Speaker:
    y8fcb5g
    y8e8szn
    ydqz2v9
    yevzopj
    y8plhl7
    ydtw53h
    yfx7f5p

As you can see the box was destroyed, in fact, the flaps and corners of the box weren't even closed all the way when I received it.

The grill cannot be replaced. The speaker cannot be undamaged. It arrived no longer in the condition in which it was listed. With advice from other active members I asked for a refund, as the damage is OBVIOUSLY as a result of the HORRIBLE PACKING.

I tried to be as civil as possible even though I was pretty pissed off at how lazy and insulting the packing was.

Polkie918 agreed to a refund of the total price minus the shipping cost which i accepted and felt to be almost fair.

Then he reneged on his offer and wanted me to send the speaker back at MY COST.

Now he is completely ignoring my messages, but he continues to be active on the forum.

Perhaps airing this laundry will get some results.

Until something changes I recommend that BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Polkie918 !!

The photos and the shipped speaker don't look the same. Polkie918 either used a set of photos from another center and the center shipped is not the one he displayed in his ad. I believe that this is a case of bait and switch. I can't see how a speaker would get that much damage in shipping. Some of the damage looks old to me.
